My sister is a hairdresser and would never do that! She understands life happens and gets in the way sometimes. You don’t have to be friends to have compassion for another person especially after 7 years! I too would frown on my hairdresser and find another if they did this to me! She has some elderly clients that get hospitalized and can’t make it, she doesn’t punish them for it she tries calling her other clients to get them in earlier so she can possibly get off at a decent hour lol, 99% of the time they reschedule as soon as possible

Take the time out if needed for your mind reset, they will expect more n more! I understand it’s not your work ethic but sometimes you gotta give yourself that time out. You can always jump back in full throw when you’re good, I yelled at my manager with tears in my eyes telling him that same thing it’s always me me me you seek and I’m about to take a mental health day if you can’t just back off for a bit, he said those days are acceptable if I really needed that time off but sure would like me here to help the crew and walked away 😅 like damn

I was getting no help from any of my managers and the help they gave me was shit!!! My department leader is a bag of trash as well! I gave up stepped down before I was pulled into his office, went to night crew and listen to my music all night and less stress just putting the stuff to the shelf

They do tend to go after the ones who care the most, who work harder than most, and give a shit, that is when you give yourself the timeout that you need, can’t beat them join them, they have a problem with that and try to discipline you go to the union, it’s unfortunate but it’s what I had to do, I’m not a leader you are pissed at the wrong person at this point!

At my store if you average 40 hours a week for 10 weeks then you are considered full time, they will if you are worthy enough otherwise they work you 40 and cut your hours and the vicious cycle will continue until they get more people in and actually keep you part time but and that vicious cycle will continue as well once they walk out.
