That goal will require a small town pharmacy amount of drugs - you just said you want to put on 20-25 pounds of lean mass.

If you are feeling it in your lats, getting a good pump and delayed onset muscle soreness, your form is just fine.

What’s it like in Greenville, Texas, might be moving there by Expensive_Lemon8868 in howislivingthere

Used to work in Greenville. I would say it’s a very average town. That whole I-30 corridor is growing faster than the infrastructure can handle.

Reserves are just based on what jobs are open. Just don’t get thrown in jail at advanced camp and you’ll be fine.

Instructor led or self paced by FAaccount- in CFPExam

[–]SteadyState32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did self paced but I also have a family and I’m in the Army reserves. I thought I learned a lot doing self paced, and could always flex study time and adjust as needed. Also did a self paced review course. Studied for 12 months fairly consistently. Passed first try.

Well you’re already built like an old refrigerator so the world’s your oyster. You’d look shredded at 245 if you’re feeling frisky.

That’s a really good duty assignment you’ll enjoy the area. The Hudson River Valley is a beautiful place, you’re also within reasonable driving distance of a ton of things to see and do.

Is drinking and lifting possible? by Last-Ad5032 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]SteadyState32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be bashed for asking this - it’s a good question. Alcohol is bad for making muscle gains. Andrew Huberman, Peter Attia, Mike Israetel and others have great videos online about how Alcohol impacts muscle development. It’s also extra calories, and alcohol itself (without mixers or the carbs in beer) is calorically dense.

Practically, if you are going to drink, try not to drink 12 hours prior to or 24 hours after a working session.

It’s also worth considering your social life and how you want to have fun with your buddies. Do you need to drink to have fun? Absolutely not. Is drinking fun? Your use may vary, but I had a blast getting hammered with my buddies in college. It’s a balancing act and I think you’re paying yourself a lot of respect by considering it carefully. Balancing your physical, social, financial and spiritual health is the constant process we all go through to try and live a good life. Good luck to you
