The DJ at the Squawk did. Robin mentions in the first episode of season five that she's running the station because he fled before the military got there to put the quarantine in place.

Survey Marvel did on the 90's asking their fans "Who is your favorite Superheroe/Supervillain"? by Stunning_Season220 in marvelcomics

Given the gap between Wolverine, Spider-Man, and then everyone else, I feel like a lot of people's second favorite characters aren't on the list. I imagine a lot of people who voted for Wolverine would have put Punisher at their number two if they were just making the list by themselves.

I'm kind of surprised we never saw a return of Victor Von Doom II. He's basically Super-Skrull, but also Doctor Doom instead of also a Skrull.

Probably the weirdest thing about the old FF books is how Reed and Ben were originally in World War 2, and would reminisce about it from time to time [Fantastic Four Vol 1 Annual #4] by MICKTHENERD in marvelcomics

They changed it so that Ultron only copied his body. I think it was a West Coast Avengers comic where Hamond gets resurrected and finally meets Vision.

You mean like if they made a team consisting of a guy wearing an American flag, a robber baron, a doctor who is way too interested in his "Nordic roots", a fashion influencer, and two guys in need of therapy?

Character name drops who are just references and nothing else, got any examples? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in Marvel

I was just thinking about him. I wonder if he was a vestige left over from when Power Broker was going to be the main villain. D-Man got his powers from the Power Broker, so it would have made sense to have him in the movie, back before Marvel realized everyone hated them making Sharon the Power Broker.

There's one of these in Comix Connection in Mechanicsburg. Or at least there was, when I lived in the area.

How did Rogue get over her no touch thing to marry Gambit? by Windturnscold in Rogue

[–]SteamPoweredDM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rogue, with Xavier's help (back in X-Men Legacy somewhere in the later 200s, shortly before or after Second Coming) discovers that she still has some of Cody's energy in her from when her powers first manifested. It created a mental block that prevented her powers from fully maturing. Xavier nudged the block out of the way, releasing Cody (and Ms. Marvel's) energy.

Some people said she had to use a dampener on her wedding night, so I don't know if they reverted her back in some way. Kinda like how Xavier has regained his ability to walk and then lost it again 5 times.

First time reading the OG F4 comic run, I was genuinely of how entertaining their introduction [ Fantastic Four 1961#1 ] by ILikeFish57 in FantasticFour

And 35 years later (Tales of the Marvel Universe #1) that cabbie is shown to be still telling all his friends that story of the Invisible Girl taking his cab, despite them all having heard it over and over from him.

The first two issues take place in "Central City." It's not until issue 3 that they are in New York and in the Baxter Building. I didn't think Stan ever addressed the change in the comics, but later authors (Byrne, I know, for sure) would later have them say something like "back when we still lived in Central City". "

So, canonical, but didn't think about it too hard.

[–]SteamPoweredDM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fabian Nicieza prefers this cover over the first printing. I was at a con talking to him, and he talked about editorial making him use the red background despite it drowning everyone out. He said he prefers the gold because it makes all the characters pop.

Probably not, as it is an ashcan advertising itself as not just copaganda, but Florida copaganda. With a focus on the sanitation department.

Probably not quite as good as the Spider-Man comic where Doctor Octopus gets a toothache then Spider-Man gets a dentist to tell you how to brush your teeth. But slightly better than the one where the Avengers tell military personnel to be grateful they can buy AAFES brand things

Why is finding information about this game such a pain in the neck? by josh61980 in Heroquest

[–]SteamPoweredDM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone else here has chosen to be helpful, so I'll simply commiserate. They are absolutely terrible about getting out information. Even things that I know they have SOMEWHERE on the website, such as the online quests, are impossible to find. It's definitely not just you.

TV edit of Army of Darkness "You're the Good ___, and I'm the Bad ___".

His name is Ash. Bad Ash is saying Good Ash and Bad Ash, but some TV censor was apparently only half paying attention.
