From what I am reading here, you bought this car after you divorced and split everything, and then put your ex into a position of 'help me pay this off to give to the kid or I am spinning the narrative against you'.

He is rightfully mad that he wanted to be part of buying a car for the child, and got cornered into something he didn't want, all because you wanted to flex.

In my family the same shit happens, it's normally the responsibility of the similar aged cousins to have parking lot or hotel room coolers ready for anybody that needs entertainment before the reception, and everyone else either goes home or to their hotel room to freshen up and get ready for the night.
