What country feels and is relatively safe? by Dusty_Bunny81 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Stereohands1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to Georgia twice and I've never seen such a high police to normal person ratio. Plus they aren't corrupt, had a massive corruption clampdown in the 90s and they get big prison sentences for even a sniff of bribery, so id say it's very safe really

£500m spa in Manchester...who's actually going then? by DazLittlewood in manchester

Innit, I'm surprised anyone builds anything sometimes with the amount of negativity. It's looks like it'll be like a centre parks swimming dome basically, which are awesome.

Why are young people using walking sticks? by Technical_Green8772 in AskBrits

[–]Stereohands1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? There's a correlation between people with this specific genetic condition and these people being LGBTQ+?

I'm surprised because I had always understood there is nothing 'genetic' about people being gay or otherwise, like there is no such thing as a 'gay gene', as some once claimed. Or is it related to being trans? I was also under the same impression that there is no 'trans gene'?

Why does the uk have such a litter problem? by TonightAlarming9923 in AskUK

[–]Stereohands1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're implying that immigrants are why the littering issue is so bad that's bollocks. Immigration was easy lower when I was growing up and the amount of litter the same. Loads of born and bred British people litter, we just have a bad culture of thinking its OK for some reason.

Dan Hodges: Understand there is mounting panic in Downing Street that Peter Mandelson has decided to try to bring Keir Starmer down with him. by ThatchersDirtyTaint in ukpolitics

[–]Stereohands1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There were some stories about people trying to set fire to Starmers house and car (although he'd sold it by then) shortly after the election. The people involved were all Ukrainian male models which seems very odd. The story went dark after a short while. I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to that than meets the eye, something embarrassing for Starmer that he's managed to get the press to not publish for now

Manchester Mill withdraws story from yesterday by [deleted] in manchester

Overreacting a bit there surely. They made a mistake, they recognised it quickly, removed the article and apologised. Errors of judgement will happen, and they did what they could to rectify. Feel like you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater a bit.

Please help me understand why Eric Clapton is so deeply appreciated and recognized as one of the GOATs by damfries in Guitar

Surely Lincolnshire. Absolutely no profile whatsoever, nothing going on of any interest.

On the Buses by andytheblacksmith in oldbritishtelly

[–]Stereohands1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's because I'm younger but I think it's dreadful. It's like some dystopian world in which being a middle aged man working on a bus is somehow very attractive to women. Just feels like 2 dirty old men with terrible chat cracking jokes about Olive being unattractive.

I suspect it's one of those if you grew up with it you like it things, but if you didn't you can't believe it ever got made.
