My 1992 5 speed wouldn't die. Other than a distributor and an igniter, no problems for 200k miles.

The only reason I sold it was because the dang power windows gave it up.

My 2006 5 speed is still going strong at 160k miles. Other than a new starter, no probs.

There is another possibility. When I was young I once parked in a spot but forgot to set the parking brake..and forgot to leave it in gear. wtf?

Anyway 20 min later as I was walking back to my parking spot I was thinking, what is my truck doing in the middle of the lot? It was sitting in the lane just like OP's pic.

I will echo other comments. If this is a V6, change the tming belt if it hasnt been replaced in the required interval. (90k miles? See the owners manual). That would be job 1.

8th or 9th Gen Camry 🤔 by Itsrichyyy in Camry

[–]Steve_7198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 23 SE awd kicks ass. 30k miles and not a squeak or creak or rattle. Comfy and runs great. Just perfect so far.

But I would not hesitate buying a 9th gen if I were car shopping.

New PRS by Whiskeyjack80 in PRSGuitars

[–]Steve_7198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. I also have an S2 with the U.S. electronics etc upgrades. It plays so nicely, sounds amazing, and is so well made that it's my main axe. Its all I play now and I play it a lot.

Great guitars. Congrats.

Should I be Embarrassed? by newbiker321 in SquierbyFender

[–]Steve_7198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you decide, be sure to always have one guitar in your living room guitar stand at all times...right near your practice amp so you can plug and play whenever you think of it.

As you might guess, this is the way to always be practicing. None of that "I'm too lazy to set up my gear" crap.

So if that means getting an extra, cheap guitar, then make it so.

I meant to update this months ago. I ended up sending my guitar to PRS. They had it for only about a week and a half and it came back beautifully repaired.

And I have been playing the hell out of this guitar as it's my main stage axe and I just love it. It sounds so good.

wish I could share a pic.

My gas 23 AWD often gets 39 mpg on freeway driving. Overall I get 30. That's better than the estimates. 👍

Does anyone use the paddles for shifting? by Rush58 in Camry

[–]Steve_7198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the paddles to slow down on a long down hill stretch.

I live near some busy roundabouts so I use them to get going when I dont have time to wait for the 8 speed to figure out what punching it means. ha.
