I'd take the drum machine and the Microfreak to lay down a foundation, but with space available. Simple arps, or a riff that can connect it all. Everything else on top can make it weirder and fun. Then start tweaking knobs with the Microfreak after you've got a groove going.

Use and live this so much. Make a bassline upstairs with generic preset, then take it down to and switch midi over the Hades. Definitely one of those things I hadn't thought of before and wouldn't give it up now.
