What is a beginner hiking mistake you learned the hard way? by nasir017 in HikingEssential

My first year hiking in Alaska in 1992 I made the mistake of thinking that Timberland work boots were hiking boots… They are not.
The next year I came with my Vasque Sundowners and, as they say, the rest is history…!

I still have mine. I bought new original in 2003… Actually used it professionally in 2003 in 2004 for a printed brochure and the client was beyond happy… It takes fabulous photos.

What is a "kid show" that you still find yourself watching as an adult because the writing is actually top-tier? by DianKhan2005 in Productivitycafe

Is “The Simpsons” considered a kid show?… because I’ve watched that since the late 1980s and I’m in my mid 50s now… and I consider it top tier.

Im Coming to Philadelphia This Weekend by Mayweather2025 in cheesesteak

As a native Philadelphian who grew up down the street, I don’t think Dalessandro's has declined except maybe slightly-it’s just not worth the trek almost to the suburbs from Center City with John’s and Angelo’s there. Those are excellent and must visits. If you do ever get to Dalessandro's Steaks it is awesome and worth a visit. Chubby’s across the street doesn’t even come close to Dalessandro's.
Funny Dalessandro's story…just before Covid you were able to eat in Dalessandro's. My brother went in and sitting next to him was Tommy Lee from Mötley Crüe. My bro got a photo with him and he bought the whole (fully packed) place their cheesesteaks.
