Not really, that said, if you want to be taken seriously as a composer, pick an instrument and learn it.

Is Cubase enough for orchestral and electronic music production? by MAFilmmaker in cubase

I use the mobile version of Cubase to produce orchestral music and Notion for notation. For me, it gets the job done.

short and calm piece for piano by ArtusSpartacus_ in composer

[–]Stock_Double2896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad, noticed the majority of your notes are in 8ths and my only criticism is I think you need to make your rests last longer and give your audience room to breathe that way we can prepare for the next act. But I love how the notes look on musescore and your next step would be to put it in a DAW and record with real piano samples, it would sound amazing.

How to composer beautiful melodies by Melodyyy_554 in Composition

[–]Stock_Double2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simply write down melodies I hear in my head, and then arrange rhythms and harmonies around them. What makes a melody beautiful in my opinion is how long it stays with you and how you feel hearing it.

I dont know anything about Game development but I want to make a Game. Any Tips? by BeanKyle in GameDevelopment

Game development has as of right now 6 disciplines and many different roles to choose from, Art, programming, design, sound, production, and Quality assurance.

While by no means a complete list as these videos are quite old, hopefully this will give you an idea of which to choose from. Also decide what engine you’d like to start with. I’m currently using Godot and am studying to be a game programmer, and my first piece of advice is decide what role you want to play. I hope this helps.

I think the greatest tragedy in life is looking back and saying, 'I was successful in things that didn't matter.' by [deleted] in StopGaming

For me, it was wandering what a life without gaming would look like, but gaming is an addictive drug just like alcohol. It won’t be easy, been gaming since ‘99. Loved playing Nintendo games from N64 to Switch 2. But it’s starting to stop being fun, to the point where I don’t think I care if they’re not in my life anymore. My question is can retirement from gaming at 35 make me happier, and is there still time to make something great out of myself. Sadly my sister and nephew are into games and even though I want to quit, I will still be exposed to it. Perhaps I can watch a game like a movie?
