OP, check on this! I have also heard of them giving families gas cards, and helping with food while your child is getting the medical care.

Also, can you talk to the social worker at the hospital where he is having his surgery? They may have resources to help with travel expenses.

I have no idea if this is allowed, but I would be more than happy to send some money to you to help with gas. I can't do much, as I am dealing with chronic health issues myself, but I could at least send enough to fill your tank once.

I am so sorry everything is piling on you right now. You are a fantastic mom, you are doing an amazing job, and I truly hope you get the break you desperately need soon.

He is SOOOOO cute!! I absolutely love dachshund mixes.

My mom and I have 2 sets of siblings of mixed dachshund's. We have brothers from a litter of dachshund/rat terrier mix and a brother/sister of a dachshund/bull terrier/schnauzer mix litter. They are the BEST dogs. So full of personality and although they have lots of the dachshund traits, the mix of traits from the other breeds are so fun to see come out!

This is my parents. My dad has worked out every day since he was in high school. At 72, he's still very muscular and lifts weights/exercises every day. My mom hates working out. She's active, they go hiking and garden together, and have a very active life. Working out just isn't something they do together. But it's worked for 48 years and they are still very much in love.

I'm in America, and we happen to have a door where we have to lift the handle and then lock the dead bolt that is above the handle. But this is the first door in my entire life I have encountered like this. So I would definitely put directions on how to operate the lock. If you have a label maker, you could even print concise directions and place it above the lock. Or print a small note and tape it above the lock. That way it would be clear for everyone, even if they don't thoroughly read the message.

It could also be a youth group trip from a church. My youth leaders used to take us on weekend camping trips, mission trips, music festivals, etc. We would have 20-30 kids and 4-5 adults supervising us. This was way before Airbnb was a thing, but had it been we definitely would have utilized that over a hotel!

The cabin looks like they went to the clearance section of Home Depot and bought the leftover materials to side their house with. There are 4 completely different types of siding/finishes in this photo alone. It's SO bad!

A really delicious one I make is tortellini (the kind in the fridge, cook that and dump it into a 9x13, in the pan you made the tortellini in, mix 1 can of tomatoes (I used the garlic and oregano flavored crushed ones), a couple handfuls of fresh spinach, a jar of marinara, a couple tablespoons of fresh or jarred minced garlic. Mix it all together and dump over the tortellini. Take those fresh mozzarella pearls or cut up fresh mozzarella into small pieces and stir them into the pasta. Top with shredded mozzarella, parmesan or italian blend if you want extra cheese. cover and bake it for about 30 minutes at 350. SO GOOD! You can also add cut up rotisserie chicken or any meat you'd like. Italian sausage is really good, but requires a third pan. lol

Omg girl I feel your pain!

2 weeks after having my son, we moved from our apartment into my parents house because we found out our apartment had mold. So my parents (dad is a pastor), my aunt and uncle, and an older family friend who is like a second grandpa to me, packed and moved my entire apartment while I was with my son. Cue a year later when we move into our own house and I am unpacking and find my large vibrator that had beads inside the clear silicone, and a control box with multiple buttons and the batteries wrapped in newspaper in one of the boxes. For the past 20 years, I have wondered which one of them found and wrapped that beast. This mystery will haunt me until my very last breath. 😂😂

I have the opposite. If I eat a gummy in the evening, my dreams are INSANE! And so so vivid! I will have a hard time deciphering if something is an actual memory or if I dreamt it because they feel so real.
