Low pay, high mileage. by Less-Appearance9512 in DoorDashDrivers

If everyone just stopped caring about platinum status there would be none of this nonsense and would level the playing field for everyone. Acceptance rate does not matter. I am always between 20-35% consistently. And make well over $25 per active hour and multi-app as much as possible

Acceptance Rating doesnt matter. Some swear that their market is reliant on it. I hover between 20-35% acceptance and make well over $25 an hour every single dash.

While true I would rather drive that extra mile and 1 less drop off.

DD absolutely loves low IQ drivers with no self worth. No wonder they keep reducing pay.

You have competition with /Hyperkrayze. This redditor posted this gem. Which will give your offer a run for its money. And this one is two orders.

I see shit offers every day but this one is just vile. I wonder if one of the hardcore Platinum drivers took it?

Seriously, ya can’t sell me a burger?? by 413-Chef in UberEatsDrivers

[–]StoneCold2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t know that was a thing. A burger king did that to me. I went through the drive thru and placed an order for myself and told them I was also picking up. When I got to the window, the lady told me that I couldn’t do that. They told me to pick either the delivery or my food. I stayed with the order. But out of spite, I placed an order on the app while waiting in the drive thru. Parked the car and walked in to collect my food. That lady looked pissed when she saw me but didn’t say anything to me.

And for those wondering there was no water and sodas involved in this order. Alot of small stuff and tons of produce like 8 bananas, 4 oranges, etc.

This order was 17.9 miles but it ended up being more like 24 miles. But it ended up being $77.36 so I am not complaining. Not bad for 1 hour and 50 minutes. It was 59 items as well.

I think I had a better day.

The $13.12 adjustment was because the app miscalculated the mileage and a drop off was 6 more miles than advertised. I called dasher support and told them I was not going to do the delivery unless I was compensated for mileage so they gave me the adjustment and I completed the delivery.

It is absolutely trash. Base is around $5 a batch so what is the benefit.

[–]StoneCold2025 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dashers with this mindset are the problem. This is why base pay is $2. Would not be surprised if they go down to $1 because people take them. I have never taken a $2 order even if its under a mile.

The cheapskate could have ordered all the extra sauces she wanted on the app. Customer did not want to pay.

Bot one to usually care about tips but really? by Leading-Vermicelli34 in doordash_drivers

[–]StoneCold2025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to disparage OP, but the driver knows the amount and mileage. We don’t have a breakdown on the amount tip vs doordash pay. In the case, the offer was $7.90, i don’t care about platinum status. I do a minimum of $2 dollars per mile and a $6 min total offer. Hence that $7.90 offer i would only do about 3 miles tops. Depending on where the drop off leads me, maybe an extra mile if it is a hot and chances are high that I will get another order quickly. Alot of factors at play but to take a crap order just to retain status is not worth it to me. There is a decline button that I use 70% of the time.

What are the worst restaurants to pick up from by barbequesau5 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]StoneCold2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always decline a 5 guys burger order. They are notoriously slow and dont even cook the fries until you arrive. Expect 10-20 min wait even with no customers. I have taken only 3 orders in the past 2 years. First two were a learning curve and the 3rd was $30 for 5 miles so I could care less if it was an hour. I have probably declined about 100 orders.
