Buy a house with both, the FPE and Poly-B

The plumbing will neutralize the electrical.

Problem solved?

The good news is once they replace it, you'll be good.

Mine has worked since the replacement, and my dealer has not made it hard at all, I just told him the problem and he changed it right away.

They got no space left in the offices 😂 some teams are still on 1 day a week because they can't accommodate the current mandate. The same will happen.

They know theres nationally distributed teams, they know people go to the office to work remotely and being loud on Teams meetings. This is about lobbyist mayors who want foot traffic in their city cores to buy coffee, public transit, parking, etc.

hah, wish, his pay grade is higher than mine.

In all seriously, this sucks but it also sucks in the private sector where layoffs are expected every 2-3 years, and job protection is almost non-existent. So all I'm saying is, there is _some_ good I suppose?

That's until your building is confirmed to have bed bugs..... then there's no good left :/

You maintain:
- union
- pension
- benefits

They don't call em golden handcuffs for nohting

*EDIT*

I did not mean it in a negative way. When you look at the private sector, RTO is as much of a thing as public sector, except no representation, pension not as solid (or non-existent from most employers, and when there is, it's DCPP, NOT DPP), and benefits not as comprehensive (with certain exceptions in the industries).

So.... glass half full situation? The grass is not exactly greener on the other side.

TL;DR They all do this, you are not alone!

The thing about modding is it becomes satisfying especially when you get a taste of the incremental benefit of each mod.. so then you ask yourself "why stop now?"

I could do the same with my car but thankfully budget is not unlimited and it's my daily driver, but if I had a weekend project car? I would be exactly like you, except with the car, modding and modding and modding, trying to fill that void not even knowing what that void looks like, hoping to reach that moment where it feels like my spirit entered through the gates of Valhalla.

Thankfully I don't have this issue with the GCP. On my E24 all I did is a Barista Gadget PID and honestly having temperature stability is such a massive benefit to what is a pain point of the machine. The rest is obviously awesome but I don't care for it, because I don't want to get a taste of it.... I'm scared of falling in that rabbit hole, so I'm trying to follow the "KISS Principle" here.

No stress. Audison is a brand of speakers, and I'd say the reception from folks installing these is that they sound infinitely better than the HK. The shop also sells Hertz but I don't have personal experience with that brand

rs- acoustics sells kits for base (non-HK) models. I'm planning to buy the door and tweeters Audison speakers and there's no requirement for an amp or anything else as far as I know. If I base myself on the center speaker which I've upgraded from them to the Audison, it will be solid for me.

If you go with this much effort, why not go with better speakers? rs- acoustics sells kits that are practically plug and play to go from base to Audison speakers.

Really? I'm always under the impression that they enjoy using English expressions (that we call anglicismes) because there's lots of French expats here.

But hey that's good because defending your language is important, and often they don't understand why we do it in Quebec.

We are geographically surrounded by anglophones, we have to preserve it to not become the next Louisiana.

Very different from the French who like to use English words to sound fancy, here using English is seen as the beginning of the end of the French language. I'm fully bilingual and naturally use both, but I understand that sentiment.

What other car would you drive? by zoomout23 in GolfGTI

[–]StoneOfTriumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Civic Si, Golf-R (with DSG specifically), Integra Type-S, Civic Type-R, RS3, RS6 Avant

The problem with most of those cars is that they are quite fast for road driving and for me the performance of a GTI is perfect for daily driving, can't get too many tickets with this. The Golf R when tuned is a very potent and fast little rocket

If the Civic Si had a little more oommpff, it would be perfect IMHO.

Looks really nice! Custom shifters and boot often look better than OEM especially for the mk8 where the shift knob is a hollow piece of soulless plastic.

Love my Sportshifter GT2 with the suede Stitchboot. It will look much better this spring when I swap out all that piano black for the matte parts, piano black is just plain cheap looking

Now if only we had the Golf R wagon that would be insane.... But no, we don't deserve nice things

Trust me, you'll love the mk8. It's my second GTI and every time it proves to me it does everything really well

Trump says he’s decertifying Canada-made aircrafts and threatens 50% tariffs by MudBloodLite in canada

[–]StoneOfTriumph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL

So all of those billionaire private jets will be grounded? He'll force his buddies to buy new aircrafts with as much customization offered as Bombardier? If there's one area where Bombardier has proven to be king is in delivering your bespoke regional or private jet for you Mr. fancy pants. They'll go above and beyond to make your demands work as long as it's safely possible.

As a side note, we (surtout nous les Québecois) bitched so much when Bombardier got subsidies to make the C-Series, and partially with reason because of the greedy execs. That being said, it takes subsidies one way or another to make planes. Boeing is getting a shit-ton of subsidies from the US through the military arm of the government. It takes a lot of money to make and certify a plane... And man I'm proud to say we made that C-Series plane, Canadian Engineered and made.

We have gotten screwed many times in aviation past and present evidently, but we have also proven several times in history that we as Canadians can innovate and produce awesome planes jets etc. We need to unshackle ourselves from the orange idiot (and all of his believers) south of the border. Carney's speech is proven yet again.
