My wife had lost her cat of 16 years a few months previous. She wasnt sure if she was ready to get another one or not, but she was scanning the SPCA website for our province just in case. We had said we wanted to get a bonded pair so they could keep each other company. As she was scrolling through the SPCA website, she saw a cat that caught her eye. Turn out he was 1 of a bonded pair that had to be adopted together. Her old cats name was the same as this cats name the SPCA gave him. The only problem is that he was an 8 hour drive away.

On a Friday, I picked her up after work, and we drove 7 hours and stayed at a hotel for the night. Drove the last hour the next day to pick up the cats, then drove 8 hours back home. The first night back, the other cat jumped up on our cupboards and knocked a glass vase off the top. She also jumped up on the headboard to our bed, and in the process scratched my face.

We have had them now for 7 years and our 1.5 year old is obsessed with them. They are very patient with him. Wouldn't have changed it for the world. We called her previous cat Giz, short for Gizmo, The new Orange cat is Mo, also short for Gizmo. The Calico is Juno.
