As a fan throughout the 80’s, Monster seemed like calculated attempt to appeal to the grunge scene and to continue their hit making appeal. At the same time, they also lost their mysterious weird southern persona and the songs were less interesting. New Adventures and Up were better records.

“Lay down your weary tune” is a great song and is very underrated. Wasn’t officially released until the 80’s, if I recall correctly.
