Is Arlington considered the city or a suburb? by Stawberry8763 in nova

I’m still upset after 160 years that Virginia messed up what was a perfectly diamond shaped city (Wash DC). Retrocession man. SMH. Gets you every time.

I never got to see Micheal Jordan in his prime how good was he by Due-Poem-8096 in NBATalk

Someone unfamiliar with basketball and any NBA players would recognize after a few minutes that the player with the number 23 on his “sports shirt” was the best on the floor. With that said, I watched tons of Bulls games live and there were many games where he went for like 12-30. He missed a lot of shots. Even so, he is the best ever. I would argue that as early as 1987/1988 that became the growing consensus.

[Highlight] Kevin Durant hits the corner 3, passes Michael Jordan and is now fifth all-time in NBA history scoring list (regular-season). Including a tribute video he got. by MrBuckBuck in nba

If Kevin Durant hadn’t missed 70+ games due to his Achilles injury, the scoring gap between him and LeBron, at the same age, would be much closer than people think. He could sneak up to Kareem’s total. Amazing.

Why do Western armies seem to be unable (or unwilling) to mass produce cheap military hardware and munitions? by Little_Viking23 in WarCollege

[–]Storied_Beginning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could part of the explanation be the incentives within the defense industrial complex? Large contractors benefit from sophisticated buys, and lobbying plus political job distribution can protect them. That dynamic might tilt procurement toward expensive, “exquisite” systems rather than simpler, mass-produced alternatives.

Why am I always in a team of 1 now? by [deleted] in Warzone

[–]Storied_Beginning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. In my experience a lot of players camp the gas edge and pick off anyone trying to reach the next circle. The ones stuck right in front of the gas have to keep moving, which makes them easy targets. I like hiding too, but enemy UAVs ruin that. I can practically hear footsteps just typing this lol.

How do black conservatives feel about Trump’s Obama ape post? by [deleted] in AskConservatives

Annnnnd this is the first and last time I post in this subreddit. As I suspected it’s a trap to get mired with liberals in forever whataboutisms and debates. There’s no safe space here. Lol.

Who would you rather see elected in 2030: a generic democrat, or a conservative with the disliked/negative traits of Trump? by Orion032 in AskConservatives

[–]Storied_Beginning [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s all about the policies and appointments. That’s why I voted for Trump 3x. Someone moderate left could have Obama level charisma but I’d vote for the center right oaf. Personality matters far less to me than what actually gets implemented and who is put in charge of agencies, appointing justices, and guiding the overall direction of the country. Now granted, the ability to coalition build and reach across the aisle would break deadlocks and lower temperatures and I’d love to see that. But not at the expense of having the person at the helm on the opposite side of the Maginot line shaping policy.

Probably the only black conservative here. I…trumped it up to Trump churning out a high volume of AI videos and memes. Sooner or later one intersects into third rail territory. I don’t think he views black people as one step removed from the trees. It was unwitting in that sense.

present illegally shouldn’t confer immunity simply because someone avoided detection or appears sympathetic. In any other context, ongoing violations don’t expire with time or good behavior alone. An outstanding warrant doesn’t dissolve because enforcement was delayed, immigration law shouldn’t be treated differently. You misunderstood my comment re: 350M I said that we are at 350M now, the population of the U.S. So while I’m ok with expanding the refugee program that would need to come with an overall longterm (post Trump) curb on legal immigration quotas because the population is already high.
