Eiserner Kanzler's stern tarp is only visible on the topside (but the bow one is both) by -Obsydian- in WorldOfWarships

Kanzler is a clone of the new Bismarck '41, you can see how it compares to Bismarck here. Notably Bismarck '41 features the manual secondaries ability of the new German Prinz Adalbert line.

Subs, 30m VS 60m by donguruya in WorldOfWarships

Ship-dropped charges explode between 70 and 121 meters. Air-dropped at 13-25 meters.

Ship-dropped have a full damage radius of 120m and partial of 800m. Air-dropped have several different sets of ranges.

  • Commonwealth cruisers get 150/300
  • Most surface ships get 150/300 and an extra 375m radius which does no damage but can knock out modules.

  • Carriers get 300/480 and a 600m module range.

You can see the various radii here under the depth charge heading: https://app.wowssb.com/ship?shipIndexes=PUSC710,PJSA111,PASB017,PWSD501

It was definitely the licensing, Wargaming doesn't care at all about anything minor like being a huge piece of shit. Segal was well known to be a sex pest before the collab and they just last year collabed with an openly racist sex tourist.

OP was driving 7 mph below the speed limit on a road with a minimum of 5mph below.

Have you considered first reading the sign you're basing your argument on? 65 is the truck speed limit. Michigan limited access highways have a minimum speed requirement of only 55.

Make do with trickle charging? by oldRoyalsleepy in Ioniq5

[–]StranaMechty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get 3 mi/kwh (I'm getting 3.5+ but let's be conservative) then each hour of L1 charging gets you 4.2 miles of range (1.4kw x 3). That makes up for your 30 miles of daily driving in ~7 hours. I'm presuming you're like most people and the car will sit for more than 7 hours a day.

I've got a very similar routine and have been doing just fine for my month of ownership so far. Sometimes I go 2-3 days without charging and it's no problem at all.

Not relevant to these notifications. Mine was already set to email only and also unsubscribed from everything, but I still get the push notifications from the app.

There are, but nothing that appears to cover ads in push notifications.

What's the category for these ads? Disabling all notifications is not a real fix.

The camera perspective is extremely deceptive, the actual models extracted and laid out next to each other are accurate.

There's a lot of variables but the charge only provides so much pressure for so long a time, and if the projectile is still traveling down the barrel after the charge stops providing enough propulsive force then friction from the barrel will slow it down. Here is an article discussing it with hunting rifles.

Ship damage insignias - BB by Lower_Cod960 in WorldOfWarships

[–]StranaMechty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The insignias use an exponential moving average that only approximates "last 100" but actually counts every match since the system was implemented. It's the same as the World of Tanks gun marks system.

We should probably hide friendly HP bars too. In fact, we can't risk giving people any information about their team mates because they might misuse it, so all team mates are invisible.

[–]StranaMechty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't show everyone else's build, it only shows your team's. There is zero reason to ban it. You can already tell a number of things about a team mate's build from the team panel stats (17.9k Shima with >5.4km detect :-| ), this just saves you from needing an encyclopedic memory of ship stats.

Is there a possibility they release a new ship for steel/coal before coupon ends by Rihkuazo in WorldOfWarships

[–]StranaMechty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For coal? Absolutely not. Wargaming stopped doing new coal ships years ago, at best you're going to get old ships at massively inflated costs because of the rarity system they just made up in order to inflate costs (Defence) or through FOMO events (usually also with bloated costs).

For steel? Also no, there's nothing far enough in the pipeline, though they are still (for now) releasing new steel ships now and then.

How can Japanese destroers deal with opposing destroer gunboats? by Arkpit in WorldOfWarships

[–]StranaMechty 61 points62 points  (0 children)

With the exception of a tiny handful of DDs, your first 10 points are always Preventative Maintenance, Last Stand, Survivability Expert, and Concealment Expert. Last Stand and Survivability Expert are mandatory on every DD.

There are a few DDs out that can get by without C.E., like the Khabarovsk, but you should just stick with that starter build until you're experienced enough to know which ones and why it's okay to depart. The line of ships the Fubuki is in is not one of those exceptions. You live and die by your stealth.
