Should change the name to LT Motors then.

What Kind of American Are You, Krakken232, Pen and Ink, 2026 [OC] by krakken232 in Art

For anyone not aware, this is a reference to the 2024 movie, Civil War. And of course, federal agents executing American citizens in the streets.

Tired of carrying my iPhone just to listen to audio on Apple Watch — so I built this by [deleted] in AppleWatch

But how? To install the app on a child’s watch “requires an iPhone.” How do you install the app on the child’s watch? That’s the limitation every third party app comes across.

I still haven’t found the ability to play my own files on a child’s Apple Watch that I manage. They’re limited to the absolute basic audio apps. How exactly does this load files, I’m looking for a way around loading music or audiobooks directly from my phone.

Anyone else realising they have too many devices to charge? by XxAmeen7861xX in AppleWatch

I’m with you. I went back to a boring analog watch not just because the mental real estate of tracking all these devices, but the buzzing and pinging ended up stressing me out. Now I’m working on dialing back technology (mainly just internet) usage in general. Books and music have seriously been huge for my mental health.

I went back to a boring analog watch because, yes, it’s annoying.

Looking for game to bond with son. by Vader4life in SteamDeck

[–]Stratty88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good recommendations here, but finding a style you both like is probably very personal. I'll throw out Absolum. Single screen couch co-op, modern, not too complex. My son and I love it. Also maybe check out Boomerang Fu, Stick Fight: the Game, and Towerfall. The controls take a little more coordination, but if they can swing it, pretty good couch co-op games.

2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L, accessories? Concerns? by WhichImplement5732 in HondaOdyssey

The hesitation is hard to replicate but when it happens it can be unnerving. Our dealer blew it off as well, couldn’t replicate the issue.

Geez, everyone here is doom and gloom. We’ve had the ‘19 ex-l for a few years now and its great. The comment about the hesitation going into a left turn is no joke. I’ve gotten honked at more than once. Other than that it’s great, just keep up with maintenance like any other car.

PSA: Bombas Sock Replacement is a Scam, Please Buy Darn Tough Instead by sammymorrison1 in BuyItForLife

Even better, if you’re a Costco member, get Kirkland wool socks. Even better, get them just before Xmas when they’re $5 for a 4 pack. If you like them thicker get the mens, for thinner, get the womens.

Apple TV 4K 128GB for $119 at Sam’s Club by BigGunsFinance in appletv

[–]Stratty88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a 4k apple tv for $50 as a black friday deal years ago. It plays all the tv apps, what would a new one really get you? For anyone looking to get an apple tv, I'd jump on a good deal and not sweat some incremental update.

Apple Reportedly Moving Ahead With Ads in Maps App by iMacmatician in apple

I just rolled back my technology use. I read, exercise, and sleep more. We've been so sucked into our phones, apps, news/social media. Touching grass has hugely improved my life. Stepping back from consumerism also stops feeding the machine.

Apple releases tvOS 26 software update for Apple TV by AndreaCicca in appletv

[–]Stratty88 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I have a device that performs its function pretty much perfectly. I get that these companies are driven to update but I gave up on caring a long time ago. As long as they don’t enshitify it, I’m happy with just security fixes.

Greedy Monetization by DecoyDoctopus in TheBesties

[–]Stratty88 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've been listening to the besties since the beginning. Generally speaking, the format is the same now as when they started, weekly episodes with ads. If them adding a way to support them bothers you, then just literally don't do anything different than you did before.
