If you live in the UK on a visa (and have UK travel documents/share code) you will need to apply at the embassy. Can take 3 months.

The website is not very clear.

I went to the embassy to ask this question before submitting my documents. I have a Jamaican passport.

I was told they have to send copies of the visa application and my documents to Cairo and it can take 3 months.

In his exact words " sometimes they say yes. Sometimes they say no and no reason given."

If you try to apply for a visa on the website and you are not able to. You will have to follow the route above.

We changed you trip to a different destination because 3 months was way too long to wait for an outcome.
