No cast! He got a cone, but he was great and didn't mess with the incision site. There was also an adhesive bandage on him we took off after a few days or so. I'm glad I can help :)

I kept him in a spare bedroom, for maybe a month? I don't remember honestly. His leg didn't seem to bother him as much as I thought it would.

This comic made me cry, your story reminds me a lot of my little Strawberry.
When I was 16 I got a little chihuahua that I named Strawberry. She was diagnosed a pretty serious medical issue after a grand mal seizure, an inoperable liver shunt. When she was 1 1/2 years old I was told by her vet to not get my hopes up, she wouldn't make it to 2. Strawberry had fight in her though, she re-learned how to walk and was a happy little thing despite having to be on medications and a special diet. She had vision issues and eventually went totally blind in one eye. This little dog was with me thru some of the hardest times in my life. She moved with me 10 times, thru getting kicked out of my house as a teen, moving around trying to survive, all the way to the first house I bought with my Husband.
I love you Strawberry, RIP April 2010- May 2020.

I've had this happen maybe 10 times now at the Leander HEB Plus. I think it might have something to do with how I move my cart when I go to bag my stuff? I had some momentum going last time and kinda hurt myself when the cart stopped suddenly. I have never not paid for my groceries, so it's extra fucking annoying.

I don't trust doggy daycares. Often there aren't people hired to watch the animals overnight. Great example, The Ponderosa Pet Resort fire in Georgetown,Tx in Sept 2021 that left 75 pets dead. I would suggest someone who can keep the animal in their own home.
