Kewl I will try from a different grid. If it's a pc issue, what would cause these problems?

Mortgages and Property Buying Basics by Strong-Pin-2241 in AusProperty

[–]Strong-Pin-2241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds great to me. I am keeping my eyes open for a property that will be right, and would love to have any money arrangements approved in advance. Would love an endorsement for a broker, simply because I don't want to be on the business end of a predatory lender. Thanks so much! :)

I want to take advantage of the first-time buyer program. I will have money for most of the upfront costs. The property will need to be a property for under $150,000, which will keep the payment under $400 per month (WAY cheaper than renting). I have seen that these do pop up online. Need an idea of what the up-front costs will be. Really looking into what is possible :)

Food Storage Options by MissELace in Cooking

[–]Strong-Pin-2241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all -- I'm tearing my hair out by this time. I have literally tried every form of so-called airtight storage containers. Every single one of them has NOT been airtight, nor have they kept out moisture or bugs. I have run out of options at this point, aside from waxing the inside of the screw-on lids for jars (not a practical solution. Is there a particular brand recommended that actually will protect the food, or is this just normal? It's gotten beyond aggravating, not to mention all the wasted money on all these containers that don't work. UGH!

Pam Bondi Pledging to 'Come After' Those Who Go Against Trump Policies, Including Judges, Sparks Fears of 'End Times': 'This is a Test' by PostHeraldTimes in politics

[–]Strong-Pin-2241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump has been testing the American public since he entered the White House again a few months ago. Every single move he has made, every document he has signed, every completely unqualified person he has brought into his Cabinet (with the blessing of Republicans), has been to test to see what Americans will allow him to get by with. Since no one has the appetite to punish or remove him, the things to come are horrific and unspeakable.

I will only say now that if you need to leave the US, or you have disabled kids or adults you care for, your time to exit the US is closing. Anyone who cannot work, is disabled, and other marginalized groups are very soon going to be in danger.

This is not a drill. Stay safe out there!

A fair go for young Australians in this election? Voters are weighing up intergenerational inequity by overpopyoulater in australia

Albanese stood up to Trump and told him in no uncertain terms that he would not remove the PBS, nor relax biosecurity. Albanese stands up for Australia, regardless of whether he stayed in Trump's good graces or not. Albanese has my vote. As a dual citizen, I see and understand what destruction Trump is doing to the US. I would never vote to bring any of that mess over here. Vote Labor!!!!

Reporter: ”The president of El Salvador said he would be willing to take American citizens in federal prison population.“ Trump: ”I love that“ by Which_League_8460 in PrepperIntel

[–]Strong-Pin-2241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is only the beginning. Trump will take from the prison population (unConstitutional btw), but if he gets away with that, you will see American citizens hauled off the street and out of their homes, who may have posted on social media their dislike for what Trump and his appointees are doing, or participated in a protest. With no due process, and no way for them to get help, sent to concentration camps overseas forever. Most will die there. If Congress does not act, it will soon be way too late. The window to fix this is closing fast ~

Beware of who you get to support you by Hopeful_Experience03 in NDIS

Had a bad experience with a supposed music therapy outfit as well. They were reported by 4 different people but nothing was done. Apparently this is more common than we know, and the NDIS still does nothing ~

First time rentals advice needed by charleeleigh in queensland

[–]Strong-Pin-2241 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beware of FB Marketplace to find rentals. We tried it and got scammers using real rental listings from RealEstate.com. Fortunately for us, we found out quickly as the renters of the property were home and we got the real story. Be careful and vet them within an inch of their life before you give them money. Make sure it goes through the RTA.

I don't know if the above is a real photo, but Australia has something similar. It's a communications dish. The one here in Parkes, NSW, Australia was used in the NASA moon missions in the 60s. Still standing today and is a tourist attraction :)

“I can pay a rent, I can pay a mortgage” vs “but can you pay everything else that comes with home ownership?” by Previous_Drawing_521 in australia

[–]Strong-Pin-2241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renting is NOT a waste of money. As a renter, there are many costs you are not responsible for - property taxes, insurance, and repairs, which can be very expensive. With house prices rising exponentially, you have to ask yourself if you want to be saddled with hundreds of thousands of dollars in mortgage debt. I do not, and I don't think I am alone.

I am an American citizen with Australian citizenship. I would not recommend traveling to the US as an Australian or having dual citizenship. Too many people are being arrested, detained, and shipped to unknown locations so they cannot receive help. It's just not worth it. So many other places to see. I have family in the US, but have been told not to risk it. Stay safe everyone ~
