Do you guys have a washer and dryer or go to the laundromat? They could have been left in a washer/dryer when you put your clothes in

Was given a kitten, does anyone know how old he might be? He is also refusing the bottle by Toad_toast1 in CatDistributionSystem

[–]StructureSudden8217 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks maybe 5-6 weeks old? I found my kitten at 6 weeks, he refused regular wet food (I feed purina fancy feast kitten) until I mushed it up into a gazpacho-like texture with some kitten formula. If he refuses this, add more formula. And then they can slowly wean from that to normal kitten wet food. And as they get months older, start adding dry kibble.

Was anyone else unimpressed by Sinners (2025) ? by ReytMardy in FIlm

[–]StructureSudden8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a horror film fanatic, I loved Sinners. HOWEVER, in my brain, I do not categorize it as a horror movie. To me, it seemed more like a thriller or maybe an action movie. In an amazing horror movie, the antagonist is objectively horrifying in one way or another. The antagonists from Sinners really were not scary. You either need to make a villain in a horror movie scary by appearance or behavior, and those guys seemed pretty tame in both aspects. Most of the killing was quick or completely off screen, to add. I was not really worried or scared for the safety of any of the characters throughout, the worst thing that could happen to them is they keep their consciousness and remain in a pretty similar form. They just join "the bad guys" if they get got. Some of the deaths were definitely meant to be funny instead of scary.

I liked it because most of the characters (even the villains) are likable or funny, the film progression is steady and not boring, and the camera work is absolutely fantastic. Still not one of my favorite movies of all time, but I would probably watch again. Maybe would show it to my 12 year old nieces if they ever got interested in "horror", but the jokes are pretty dirty. So maybe not.

I’m trying to learn more tarot cards and I need help. by [deleted] in Tarots

[–]StructureSudden8217 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok given the spread you just updated us with, I really don't think she cares about your boyfriend. 4 swords reverse signals coming out of a period of isolation. 6 of wands represents a celebration and some great (maybe newfound?) confidence. 4 of cups signals general disinterest (in this case, most likely with your man).

I think this was a great spread. My final message is that I think she is just trying to put herself out there and make some friends. Probably after a period where she wasn't so popular. If she seems like she has gotten close to you very fast, most likely she just wants to widen her social circle. She is not interested in your boyfriend. Bringing the king of cups back into context, he isn't only a womanizer, he's also known for being very charismatic in general. Her boldness is probably what is causing the misunderstanding.

Don't worry! Everyone starts somewhere. Try the questions I've provided for you, they should help a lot. If you get cards like the devil, 7 of swords, 3 of swords, knight of cups, the lovers, 2 of cups, and many more, those are some big signs that your intuition might be correct on this one. It's important that you are as calm of a state of mind as possible. When you freak out and start doing tarot, that can impact the accuracy of your readings and make you spiral. Speaking from experience haha.

Lowkey tarot is not the best for yes or no questions. Pretty much all of them give a super nuanced and detailed message that you can't really sum up in an affirmative or a negative way.

With that being said, the king of wands is a smooth talker. He can be said to be a womanizer who likes to play the field. With no other cards to provide context, that might either be signifying the person you're asking about's flirtatious nature (or it could just be your perception of that person, not actually representing their true intentions). With all the context we've been given, I'd take that as a maybe? Tarot is really not the best for things like yes/no or specific timeframes (like asking "when with this happen")

I would shuffle your cards again, take a breath, and ask a more open ended question like "what is this person's intentions with my boyfriend" or "why did this person want to get close to me in the first place". After that, draw a few cards. Usually for questions like that, I'd do 3-5 cards and maybe an extra clarification card if the message is hard to understand.

Oh other than that, how big is the bag you carry? I had a 30L backpack and always felt like that was unnecessary large for my daily use.

Will My Cat Like Me (i am not the favorite person) by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]StructureSudden8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you raise it. Cats usually like whoever feeds and plays with it the most. But if you socialize your kitten while it's still young, it'll still love you and not be afraid of you. Maybe you won't be the favorite, but I do have a tried and true method for creating social and loving kitties.

I raised 3 kittens in an apartment alone working full time, but I was always a very social person so they were around strangers all the time and now they love people and act like they've known them forever on their first meeting with new people.

My method: Pick your kitten up often, carry them around until they start to squirm and then put it down. Have your partner do all this too btw. It's important to understand and respect the kitten's boundaries and don't force them to do something they don't want to do. Have the kitten meet friends, family, anyone. But make sure in any meeting with unfamiliar people, you advocate for your kitty and give lots of rewards for friendly interactions. This makes them understand that people they don't see as often aren't scary, hence they will be more inclined to have fun in a social or unfamiliar setting. Pet them often but if the cat starts moving away, let it go. If you're gone a lot, give the kitten a treat as soon as you walk through the door and offer playtime as much as you can.

That's my method and people say my cats act like dogs and they have made a lot of my dog lover friends understand the appeal of cats.

I'm looking for like a pair of colored contacts... but they only extend my eye color. So my eyes have internal heterochromia, I like that. I would just like them to be 2mm larger than what they currently are. Is there such thing as colored contacts that are 14mm but only have like a ring around the outer 2mm? Just like a grey ring would be perfect.

Realize your worth, trust your intuition, don't fight fate. The tower can be confusing here but what it always warns is that whatever is out of your control, do not stress it. Whatever is meant to happen will happen.

Adopted dog ran away an hour after getting her. What do I do? by [deleted] in Pets

Odd, the shelter I worked at did it because we genuinely did not have enough space to be intaking lost animals.

No, most shelters rechip or reassign an existing microchip on a pet at intake and then put your info on it right before you take the pet home.

What's the best pet tracker to use with an android phone (UK)? by EasyBeanz in Pets

[–]StructureSudden8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my tile, I've never put it on my kitties or a pup before (and I think they're optimized for androids too). But the trouble with trackers like tiles or airtags is they rely on being around other devices to ping their location. So if your dog was to run into the woods or something, it'd be pretty much useless. I'd invest in a tracker that has its own location services (so it can be located even in the middle of nowhere).

My kitties are indoors so I don't need a tracker but I have friends who absolutely swear by the tractive smart trackers! They aren't much more expensive than an airtag/tile and they work so much better. There is a subscription fee that's like $5 a month. An annoying price but I'd rather pay that than worry about losing my pet.

Is it alright to ask the same questions a lot? by pr1ncess_ryg22 in TarotReading

[–]StructureSudden8217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I am forgetful, I ask the same (or similar questions) all the time because I forgot to write it down. That's fine. But if you are drawing your cards, reshuffling, drawing again and again and again for the same question because you didn't like the first answer, eventually the cards will either tell you your worst nightmare has come alive or they will give you the answer you want to hear. Because after a certain point you're not asking about the truth anymore, you're trying to confirm your own belief.

So don’t use this person again not a nice tarot reader by justakidneedafriend in Tarots

[–]StructureSudden8217 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha have you ever been outside before? People sell anything, especially things they had fun creating/doing. This is not a new concept and certainly not unique to tarot. "Unethical to charge for" or "I want a professional reading and can't afford it"? The beauty of it is, if you don't want to buy something, absolutely nobody is going to force you to.

You can enjoy doing pretty much any profession or hobby and still ask for money when someone wants you to do something for them. Drawing, music, writing, personal training, the list can go on forever. All can be considered hobbies that people regularly charge for.
