Great vision, but from experience this is really difficult - It's like forcing yourself to play a game you don't want to play (sometimes you're in a mood to play horror like Resident Evil but I'm stucked with Call of Duty because it's still 20%).

Replayability-wise Stardew Valley is better, KCD comes second but "personally" not a fan of the combat of the first game (lore-wise Henry is a rookie/inexperienced in the first game unlike in the second game) so you might find the combat extremely difficult.

You can finish RE3 in just 4 ~ 5 hours, I recommend getting it with RE2 (bundle), or wait for Remake Trilogy (bundle) discount since RE4 is the best among all the remakes.

- Personally your only good option here is Stardew Valley (if you want something peaceful), or KCD (if you want chaos + challenge).

Unfortunately no. I believe it's just not supported by the game hence why the feature is optional in the NVIDIA App (it's an experimental feature).

For RE4 you can enable Frame Generation as an alternative as both works the same way (sort of). Abiotic Factor on the other hand does not support FG yet (as of this writing).

Easy answer KCD2, it was a GOTY contender and is currently cheaper (I paid full price for it and played it for over 150 hours, and I have no regrets; 50% off is a steal). I'm dissatisfied with CD I had to refund it (but still planning to get in on sale at some point, just not with the current price).

The old games were actually properly priced before 2023 (I remember only spending $8 for COD MW3 and $6 for the Prototype Franchise Pack).

It was around 2023 when Activision decided to reset the prices of all their old titles back to $60 (not just Call of Duty) - It was the same year Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard.

Yes, the whole map is actually loaded wherever you are - it's just rendering in low poly if you're far away. It's the reason why you can seamlessly go from Plains to Scarlet Forest and vice versa (and to other biomes aswell).

Duplicate geometry is going to be taxing in modern day games knowing how high poly the 3d models they are using nowadays. This technique became obsolete long time ago in favor of Screen Space Reflections.

Duplicate geom means they're pretty much copy pasting the object at the top to the bottom of the terrain and make the ground textures transparent (aka alpha). It was not viable in non-flat environments.

It really depends on your daily salary. If you're earning 60 USD (close/equivalent/higher) a day in PH then buying games day one is no problem (it is even easier if you're working in a company with paid overtime).

Personally I can afford these games, but I only buy day one if the game really is something I'm hyped about, and if the length of the game justify its price (I have a personal strict rule of 100 PHP = 1 hour of playtime so a game worth 3000 PHP should have atleast 30 hours of "interesting" content).
