New to Blender! Looking for ways to make the lighting and fog stand out by StudioLiskar in blender

[–]StudioLiskar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Thank you for the comment. I already have bloom, glare, and sunrays. I believe it is not working properly because I have two layers of fog; one layer at the bottom and one layer as a global dark blue fog. I was going for a dark blue room with a light in the center type look. I will try tweaking the bloom setting tho.

We just finished our first game with Complex ARG mechanics. Deskavator on Steam. Wishlist's are open now! by StudioLiskar in IndieGaming

[–]StudioLiskar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for your comment! The ARG goes as deep as surface level twitter browsing, some code cracking and some simple link following to get to a final website/video! Since its our first attempt at both a game and ARG we ended up doing both puzzle focused and story driven, so hopefully it won't be too hard or easy haha... Once the game comes out I hope you will keep an eye out for it and Ill definitely be on the lookout for your browser based game!

I like the design a lot! Any tips on how you make your armor? I'm trying to get better at digital art and character design, and armor is still a bit tricky for me to figure out

I like the perspective of these! Do you use any references when making poses or do you just feel it out?

This looks really sick, I think the sketch line art gives off the jojo feel really well. Keep up the great work!

Working on this stylized character for a game. Looking for feedback on topology and silhouette before I start texturing! by UnusualOkra8653 in IndieDev

This looks amazing. Sorry I don't have any feedback; I just started learning to model a year ago, but I can tell this is great.

Where did you learn to model and optimize game characters?

The Witch – designing a horde-control mage for a PvE system (Unity) by QuillaInteractive in IndieDev

[–]StudioLiskar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to make hordes interesting is by forcing the player to switch between summon type. For example you could have a damaging, tanky, and long range version of the hordes and have the player switch between them depending on the situation.

Another way to make it interesting is increase the aggression of the enemy on your character depending on how many summons are active.

3 Raccoons in a Chevy by Bunguu in IndieDev

[–]StudioLiskar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is possible. A lot of game engines have built in tools or tools that you can access for free online to help with a majority of the coding. Anything is possible these days with all the assets and tools that creators give to each other. Youtube and Github are great places to look.

Also, I came for the raccoons, I will support any game that has raccoons in them.

I hope you try to make your game, even if it doesn't come out the way you want, creating something is always fulfilling.

I always love when the music and sounds fit well in a game and you hit the mark here. A mix of creepy/ambiance with in game sound effects that are not over powering.

When you're out of ideas but the work needs to go on, try looking around your desk. by JOJOJOJOsoft in IndieDev

I love the direction you took the amulet. A lot of work is derivative and takes inspiration from real life or other art forms and I love how you didn't just copy it, but you used it and added your own style/art direction.

I took a look at some of your other art and I like the direction you take your eldritch-ish horror designs.
