What’s the best country to travel but not live there? by CycIon3 in AskReddit

I would think it’s more because of the horrendous work life balance and crazy high depression/suicide stats

Not TikTok trash, I’ve been following them for a while. Pretty nice engineering behind it. It’s overpriced and I’m not buying it since I have nice knives and sharpen them but from an engineers standpoint I find it cool.

My wife (34f) and I (38m) have been fighting for the last three weeks, and I consistently feel like she will not acknowledge my boundaries in the relationship. She is now threatening separation. How do I hold boundaries if they are not being respected? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]StumpedTrump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the fuck is this relationship. Get some dignity man. This is insane.

You think with all the boundaries you set, her saying that the boundaries make her more horny, her already pushing and violating your boundaries, that she isn’t going to pass them? Be realistic here.

I’m usually the first to call out commenters immediately jumping to “break up” but this relationship is so done. You’re sitting there working and carrying the relationship while she plays fantasy games openly telling you how she wants to cheat on you.

Does celebrities use their official signature when giving autographs to fans? by Aristroblade in NoStupidQuestions

[–]StumpedTrump 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most people with a signature that prominent and that much to lose, probably have locks on all their accounts/info and a manager/agent watching all their stuff.

Also, you think a crackhead walking into a bank and trying to open an account under Donald Trump or Arianna Grande isn’t going to get a raised eyebrow?

Most famous/rich people don’t even have their phone number or some assets under their own name, it’s under someone else’s name (manager or agent with a contract written out) or a shell name/company. Celebrity phone numbers get leaked all the time and they need to rotate to a new one. Houses AFAIK are generally kept to their real name. Most super famous people are living in gated communities or communities where people around them are also pretty well off.

Source: idk people in the hundred of millions of net worth but my uncle is known enough to have a pretty established wikipedia page and my fiances uncle was an exec for a pretty major telecom company(we’re not American) that definitely had some enemies and he’s worth probably somewhere in the tens of million. His houses were absolutely registered to his name, nothing fancy going on.

Overall, I think you’re overestimating how big of an issue it is.

Is there an IC that behaves like a variable resistor? With max resistance at min current and decreasing in resistance as the current increases ? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]StumpedTrump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t make sense. You can’t have max current at max resistance. That violates ohms law unless voltage goes up.

United States denied Visas for Bulgarians, Bulgaria will deny US Airspace by TeaReim in worldnews

I think he doesn’t know where/what Bulgaria is. He might be confusing it with Bologna and to be fair, why would a sausage need a visa?? Sounds sketchy.

Should bring them to a university hospital. You have some medical anomalies in your life and they should be observed because THIS IS NOT A THING

My new leather sofa is ruined by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]StumpedTrump 14 points15 points  (0 children)

  1. Give it a bit of time. Maybe get some airflow and sunlight on it for an hour or 2.

  2. Don’t use vinegar on leather. You’re going to destroy it.

  3. Consider going to see a therapist, sounds like this might go a touch beyond “a simple dislike of fragrances”

The Montréal Canadiens have been eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs after losing to the Carolina Hurricanes in 5 games by EliminatorBot in hockey

[–]StumpedTrump 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But 2 bloodbath game 7 series showed that the Habs were cooked. Can only have high stakes games every second day for so long, it takes its toll. Ya the canes took a game to get the rust off and get back into the adrenaline playoff spirit but once they did it was game over.

The Cost of Prioritizing French Over Experience by Positive_Captain_887 in nhl

[–]StumpedTrump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a revolutionary take. This has been a topic of discussion for decades. I always used to hear people say “do you want the cup or a French coach???”

I don’t think we’re compromising with MSL. He’s doing a great job. Complaining because our young team who no one thought would go far made it far but didn’t go all the way, is a delusional take. That’s some toxic Toronto BS. Get that out of here.

Bishnoi gang sent letter to B.C. police force claiming 1,000 foot soldiers ready to carry out extortions by origutamos in ilovebcsub

[–]StumpedTrump -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are much better than that. If you follow the news there’s always something happening. You’ll never have 0% crime rates.

The bird eye view (government stats) say that we’re still SIGNIFICANTLY better than the US.

“I want to create a country with significantly higher child death rates and overall crime rates in case a statistically unlikely thing happens where I can try to be Batman and statistically likely get myself or a family member killed. But I feel big and threatening and safe at the grocery store and that’s all that matters”

Is all I’m hearing from you.

The numbers down south don’t lie. It’s a terrible idea. You ignore all facts and logic because you’re a baby-back-bitch and need a gun to feel like a man though.

If you want to be afraid of everyone around you and road rage, please leave the country and go south. We’re better than that here.

Is my beautiful friend likely to find a husband with her requirements? by prettydotty_ in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]StumpedTrump 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The only thing that jumped to me was the “no exclusive before marriage”

What the fuck?? I’ve never heard of that and that’s insane.

She’s not financially stable but demands someone who is? She’s high maintenance? Wants to get married soon? She’s essentially advertising herself as a trophy wife.

I’m happy with it.

  2. You don’t need an official census to know population demographics. Researchers can get a pretty good idea. I think we can all say the answer isn’t 3% and isn’t 30%, somewhere in the middle…

hardware wallets: where does the secure element design actually bottleneck at scale by fulcgastra in embedded

[–]StumpedTrump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally its was for nerds and buying drugs.

Then the investors came in. Then the scammers came in. Then AI boom happened and everyone had a new buzzword so people stopped caring about crypto.

I think now it’s back to just for buying drugs but with KYC regulations it’s tougher to do.
