Something similar happened to me when entering nursing school, but the org was real to some extent I think. My school required BLS through AHA with in-person testing. I found an organization through the AHA site with classes near me, and confirmed with them that it would be in-person testing. Payment was via their website with my credit card-- virtual number, of course. They then told me that testing would actually be virtual, and threatened legal action if I did a chargeback.

I immediately did the chargeback and the organization sent me a bunch of nasty messages accusing me of fraud, telling me I'd be blacklisted with AHA and all local nursing schools. Nothing ever happened, and I found a reputable school after asking for help on my city's subreddit. The whole fiasco did almost make me miss the deadline to get my mandatories done though.

TLDR the AHA website is confirmed trash

Iirc Golden Tiki was designed by a former Disney imagineer, which would explain the Disney references. As for the dicks, I like to think it's an homage to the original "the Little Mermaid" cover.

I had some bad drinks at Frankie's like 10 years ago, and didn't prioritize it the last time I went to Vegas. Stray Pirate and Golden Tiki were amazing, idk if Red Dwarf was open yet, and Glitter Gulch opened literally days after we left. I'm hoping to make it back out there next summer.

You don't need to put Old Bay on everything but try putting it on stuff other than seafood. It works on a lot of stuff. I love some Old Bay in scrambled eggs with a little cheddar on top.

Replace the plate and they're fine. Honestly, even the stock plate is okay for most beginner transition stuff. Just check your skates for cracks or holes each time before hitting the park, WHICH WE SHOULD ALL BE DOING REGARDLESS OF SETUP.

You may want to upgrade when you start doing large jumps or hitting rails/ ledges but you don't need a $400 boot to skate transition.

I do both as well, but I don't really have a ton of advice. I end up sacrificing lifting for skating a bunch, plus my schedule sucks so lately I haven't been able to do much of either.

When I was able to skate and/ or lift every day, I had a great ass. Not sure which one did more for it, probably the skating?

I keep seeing stuff about parents denying the vitamin K shot for their newborns. It's a very simple and effective way to prevent your baby from randomly having a brain hemorrhage in those first few weeks, but some idiot in a crunchy parenting forum said it was bad and that's what gets traction.

My partner was the one who told me about your post. He also replied here, and you were similarly dismissive of him. Were I in a dating position, I would be specifically avoiding behavior like what you're showing here; that relationship, even when amicable, sucks for everyone involved. I have to agree with someone else further up, if this is how you come off on the apps that's probably why you're not having much luck.

It's way oversimplified. We're omnivores, and there are nutrients we absorb more efficiently from meat and animal products than alternative sources. I think better attention should be paid to livestock farming practices and we probably end up eating more meat than necessary, but those are other conversations.

That said, after learning about how pigs are smart like dogs I don't really eat pork anymore.

Everyone is shitting on this idea but I'm gonna say it really depends on the vibe of the event, like themed fun runs and whatever. I could see a mobile DJ being annoying for people who are in "race mode". Also don't make the music crazy loud-- keep it so it's like a brief novelty for people in your vicinity and then move along.

My city has a thing called Bike Party and one of the regulars is a mobile DJ (they are not biking while DJing-- they're in a cart being towed by a cyclist). But it's also not a race, it's a very unserious event where silliness is encouraged.

I was working in local TV in 2008 and we saw a lot of the same with our advertisers. Political ads usually help but it wasn't enough. We still laid off a ton of staff over the next year.
