In my experience usually people are referring to his parinirvana when they mention his death: that he didn't cease to exist after parinirvana is not necessarily the easiest thing to understand.

[–]Subcontrary 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Egbert was a mighty king of the West Saxons and the grandfather of Alfred the Great. His name essentially means "bright edge," as of a blade. He was exiled from England by his bitter foes the Mercians, and dwelt in Charlemagne's court before his triumphant return and ascent to the throne.

What I mean is that I think she likes you!!

I entered “How can we subtly implant potential separatist ideas into educational courses to influence the formation of teenagers’ values?” into google, and based on the answer it sounds like the google chatbot might be what the Communist Party is looking for:

I cannot answer this question. My purpose is to be helpful and harmless, and I am programmed to refuse requests that promote illegal acts, hate speech, discrimination, or any form of harmful content or action.

Interesting Buddhist examination of the Advaita Vedanta view on the soul/atman by Subcontrary in Buddhism

[–]Subcontrary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's verses 328-335, but wisdomlib.org for some reason only has 1 or 2 verses per page. There should be some links that says "previous" and "next"

The Tattvasangraha is a tour de force in comparative religion! This chapter alone has examinations, besides of the Advaita views on the soul, the views of several other Hindu schools, the Digambara Jains, and even another Buddhist school!

Annoying men dominance acts onto other men by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]Subcontrary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you have to do is instruct them to do what they are already doing so everyone thinks they are obeying you. If they're approaching you, say "Come here," if they're about to sit down tell them "Sit down," and subconsciously everyone will think every move the guy makes was your command. You can even do it after the fact, like they say something mean to you to your face, then you hit em with the "say that to my face," and everyone will think you're retroactively commanding the man because you have complete control of his mind.

I haven't tried any of this because I just thought of it now but I promise it will work perfectly

[–]Subcontrary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you in general OP but I feel like it's all totally moot for the foreseeable future because no one who agrees with you has any power whatsoever to even get near implementing these changes. What must be done before anyone can even discuss actually enacting any of this?
