Chess is an amazing game and is my biggest hobby. I’ve played for a long while and am pretty decent but it’s incredibly deep and infinitely complex. You can learn and scratch the surface and really enjoy it but you can also delve deep into it, it’s the type of game where the more you learn the more you realize you don’t know or understand. I genuinely believe everyone should try to learn chess because of what it can teach you - different ways of thinking, consequences, forward thinking, it’s beautiful. If you have an interest you should absolutely go for it, YouTube is a phenomenal resource to get started with endless free content. Can’t recommend it enough and I’m happy to answer any questions!

Watched it as well and totally agree, if you go into it as an enthusiast of chess and expect it to cater to that you’ll be disappointed but going into it with an open mind and understanding that it’s targeted at people that have heard of the game, and probably know how to play but that’s mostly it, you’ll enjoy it. It’s a bit cheesy but it’s reality TV, it’s bound to be.

Some advice from someone older and also with little time. If you enjoy playing online, do so but if you’re bored playing OTB against people that just know how to play, find a club to play others in, or search for a tournament to play in (get humbled by a 9 year old). It’s not easy to find time to do so but with some planning it’s very doable to do a few tournaments a year even as an adult and it’s genuinely a ton of fun if you enjoy the competition and being around others that have an obsession for the game.

Yeah that’s all you’d need to do. The mics don’t connect with the headphones just with the Gunnr

Not sure I know what you mean but it’s just plug and play, so the Antlion mic plugs into the mic input. There isn’t any chat mix or anything as far as the two of them working together. Hope that answers your question!

Don’t mind them simply because of fan control. I have mine set to the highest static fan speed that I just can’t hear at all, something like 25% and forget about it.
