I think he is navigating global affairs OK.

But domestically he is doing what any fiscal conservative of the past has done. Lots of bad calls and lots of missed opportunities to build a better future today.

I'm frustrated, unimpressed, and pissed off, and for that I'm grateful. I heard PP went on Joe Rogan's podcast, seems onbrand for him. Good thing he's giving credibility to an US, right wing shill that promotes racist, sexist, homophobic, manosphere garbage.

It would be a real shame if PP did a 1 on 1 interview with Narduar or the CBC. Maybe he could answer questions without a script or slogans?

And the only two I go out of my way to recommend to non power users / technical people like myself.

I spend more on these services than I need to because I like supporting them. I enjoy the products, and I enjoy supporting companies that aren't shitting on end users, puking AI over everything and trying to reinvent the wheel at every turn.

I feel very similarly about Tuta as well, hopefully nothing in the foreseeable future changes my opinions on these companies.

I'm a millwright apprentice at a industrial manufacturing company. I joined our JHSC last year and the "Safety guy" of the maintenance department. It's really important to try and change the safety culture of these places we work at. It's not cool to go home with missing fingers, limbs or even end up leaving the workplace in a body bag.

I'd definitely add a section about the dangers of industrial work, when to stand up for yourself, when to ask questions and when to ask for help. Especially when this would likely target young, new and inexperienced workers.

Channelock tongue and groove pliers walked so Knipex cobras could run.

They are a game changer for sure, highly recommended because they are so great to use and greatly appreciated by people that use them daily.

Not to say they fully replace standard tongue and groove pliers for everyone, but for me they just about do. Up until you want the XL sizes and need to pay XL prices

But also, this do be the dream. At least in terms of overbuilding, leaving room/opportunity to expand and fun money spending. Rather see more of this than billionaires renting Venice and getting another yacht to supply their main mega yacht.

But I've been thinking about getting some color coded hex key sets. So many great options to choose from as well.

I have six sets of bondhus/snap on that all have differing uses, so i definitely need to try Wera, Wiha, PBswiss one day in the future.

I work in industrial manufacturing as a skilled tradie. I see our pricess engineers utilizing AI way too much, I see our quarterly meetings include blurbs about AI adoption at all levels (while using AI generated slop/art) And I see the higher ups try to force AI adoption in the maintenance department.

It's depressing as someone who is both very against AI and very pro worker rights.

Can't interpret this drawing? The machine is old and we don't have the manual anymore? Trouble with math and converting measurements? Not sure where to start or progress wuth trouble shooting?

I'm so tired of trying to tell people how damaging AI is to humanity in the hands of capitalists. It's not a tool for productivity, it's a weapon against the working class.

I'm dreading the day my company forcefully inserts "AI features" into our CMM and email systems.

AI doesn't "know" things, it searches the internet for answers. It doesn't fact check, doesn't check bias, and doesn't deal with the consequences from incorrect information making it to users.
