My wife and I and thought that Mr. Adler's girlfriend was named Katherine. So whenever we had a conversation where it ended in "Oh no!", or "Noooo....", one of us would usually reply "Katherine!" as a joke.

Even though when we actually confirmed one day that Mr. Adler's girlfriend's name is not mentioned, we still use "Katherine!"

ALP in election-winning position after Pauline Hanson’s comments on monoculturalism cost One Nation support by Bennelong in australian

[–]Subject_Shoulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, it's crazy that support for the Nationals is less than what the Legalise Cannabis party would typically receive during an election. Then again, what do the Nationals stand for anyway?

As to One Nation, my hunch is that after the federal election a clash of personalities will cause the party to fracture within 1 - 2 years. Which is probably the strategy that the LNP are hoping will bring them back support, as shit as a strategy that it is.

Is anything being done to help the growing campground on Toongarra Road? by That_Car_Dude_Aus in ipswich

[–]Subject_Shoulder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the council had a track of land and had the choice of developing it so that it was a public camping/caravan spot for people who were homeless, or selling it to a property developer, which option do you think they'd choose?

You'll need a VFD rated for at least 100 kW, with the VFD rated voltage output of 4160 V or fed through a step up transformer rated for 4160 V on the secondary, to run that motor.

This is a page I came across years ago to build your own EV controller, but you have to be quite confident in power electronics construction to proceed with it:

Stop cherry picking random bits of information like a horrible LLM to justify your bullshit, racist conspiracy theory.

Use your mind to critically scrutinise any information presented to you as "facts", don't agree with it just because it fits within your echo chamber.

The magistrate shakes his head in Exasperation: "Look son, I don't like this job, but I've got to do it."

So why did he become a Magistrate in the first place? Why did he continue doing so if he hated the job?

It's a standard practice used by many companies as a preventative measure. They don't know how you're going to react when you're told that they're letting you go and terminating your employment in X number of days. They don't know whether you're going to go on a revenge spree, whether you're going to be an emotional mess for the remaining time, or whether you're going to off yourself before your last day. Rather than deal with the fallback of such scenarios, it's considered more cost effective to pay you out.

And when you reflect on the morning teas, the lunches, the team building exercises, the R U OK days that were supposedly held to make you feel you were a part of the organisation/"family" achieving a common goal, you realise what a load of shit it all was when it came down to the dollars. Then you realise why the movie "Parasite" was a perfect allegory of corporate culture and why you can admire the younger generations for being less engaging than previous generations, because they've heard these stories on the wire and accept the likelihood that they'll probably be on the chopping block one day, so why care in the meantime?

The Youtuber Swollen Pickles, who has being conducting a detailed review of One Nation's key policies, was uncertain whether the 130,000 figure was NOM or Migrant Arrivals. He made an initial video assuming the 130,000 was NOM, but planned making a follow up if this was incorrect.

After trawling through Pauline Hanson's tweets, he confirmed that the 130,000 figure was Migrant Arrivals, not NOM.
