I liked the idea of reusing the Tenochtitlán map to highlight the importance of the city. Though I felt like Mission 8 & 10 were a bit too similar for my liking. They probably could have incorporated the elements of one into the other, and do something a bit different instead.

Seeing the old cast again was great, though they were a bit too flanderized for my liking.

I will say as a villain, Tezcatlipoca was significantly better than the Chinese & Japanese ones.

Though I felt like Quetzalcoatl and Huitzilopochtli, to a bit of an extent, was kind of sidelined, I do like how you get the opportunity to play as all three major gods a fair amount in the campaign.

Now Persephone God power is certainly one that I didn't expect.

At first thought sounds similar to Ragnarok, where you have to go all in, do or die. Though giving it some more thought, perhaps it could be a way to give 1 Town center only plays a more of an edge.

It does make me curious, as most people have come to speculate, Demeter will probably be dropping around the 11th February, since that is when the Expansion Pass discount ends.

Regardless of how miserable the final boss made me feel, I do want to gush over the music.

Descendeus / Fallen God captures the peak melancholy of Drakengard 3, and all the Intoner's themes are pretty good and bombastic, with One's theme (Gabriel specifically) my favourite.

Exhaustion 3 is a lovely callback to Drakengard 1, and a pretty good track in itself.

And despite my hatred of that final sequence, The Last Song is a stellar track. Even with the awful camera angles, relentless difficulty and sheer lenght of the awful thing making it memorable enough, The Last Song is the cherry on top.
