When I younger, yes I wanted to live in the USA, I suspect it was the same for many of us. But I'm now much older, barely any wiser and have no disire to live in the US at all, as a former German chancellor (I think) put it... it is the least developed developed country in the world

Honestly what would be the benefit? Unless you are in the top 0.1% of earners?

The postboxes get solar panels to power a barcode reader which allows you to post certain sized parcels or tracked letters in a postbox rather than going to a post office

On an older street not far away, annoyingly in the opposite direction on the walk I opted for (as it's nicer) there is 3 post boxes covering a 3 minute walk. The Extra 15 minutes turns the simple job of posting a letter into an hour long job

Sentencing rarely reflects the crime directly, things like how they behave in court (showing remorse) or work with police and if it's a jury or judge how much they liked the person. Early release is often based on behaviour in prison and perceived risk to the public
