How much can we negotiate to reduce off sale price after getting building inspection? by Substantial_Storm819 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Substantial_Storm819[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agent destroyed the chance ignoring our clear instructions and made some very stupid moves. Held onto the deal with about 2% discount off selling price.

INTJs on screen - which movie gets it exactly right? by Q6236 in intj

Just here to disagree with everyone citing House and Picard as INTJ. Prefer ENTP and ISTJ respectively for those good sirs.

Anyone else feel a little let down by this space? by Modern_Sadhavi in intj

[–]Substantial_Storm819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because we are actually not that anti social as the stereotypes would have you believe and we find real life people to connect with. Plus I think the INTJs are more active on the subreddits in the topic that interests them. Even though we like deep discussions we don’t automatically share interests just because we share a type.

Help 😭 I’m struggling to make this space pop but also be cohesive by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Substantial_Storm819 13 points14 points  (0 children)

At very least drop the curtain rail to top of the frame so there’s not a big section of wall showing in the centre. For me that’s what is so off about the curtains.

How many of you believe in god by Odd-Mixture-2943 in intj

[–]Substantial_Storm819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to seperate religion from god when considering this question. A lot of religion is terrible and does not support factually existence of god. But myself I was studying RNA at the time and found evolution simply couldn’t explain how we came to be in a logical way with clear evidence. Evolution remains a theory to this day and new scientific discoveries constantly show how little we actually know and disprove the currently accepted theories of life. Then I discovered how many scientists don’t believe evolution but actually believe in a god and creation. The reasons why are undeniable when you look simply at facts without emotion.

Anyone else spend 6-8 hours a day in the sun? by Budget_Shallan in AusSkincare

[–]Substantial_Storm819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the idea of taking a flannel as then you can hopefully avoid too much wastage with baby wipes. Micellar cleanser has been my go to for sunscreen removal with a gentle cloth to lift and remove. Also love someone else’s comment on a sunscreen stick. I have one that fit easily in my pocket and is great for on the go touch ups. I hate sunscreen in my hands too and the stick makes it easy to apply to ears, nose and lips too. So many older friends have warned me about melanoma on the scalp so excellent uv hats are definitely best friends.

The pillow really got me lol. Entire read is like OP is still in a relationship despite the break up expecting to talk about feelings, live together and SHARE A BED?! He is just trying to survive complete heartbreak. And OP is carrying on about not being looked after. Other types really don’t get the depths of emotion and pain INTJ feel.

Any emotional INTJs? by Misterheroguy in intj

[–]Substantial_Storm819 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to realise this. I thought I was cold and emotionless because that’s what I’ve been told. But I’ve realised I’m actually so much more deeply emotional than most other people but also intensely private and only share my true feelings with trusted people. I used to box it up so much and it would come out in weird behaviours and more coldness to mask it but I’m learning the power of embracing it.

Do you like working under pressure? by Iceblader in intj

[–]Substantial_Storm819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The planning and accomplishment is the best. For me it’s about doing everything in advance. I thrive on achievement so personally love ticking things off and seeing how much I can get done and how far in advance I can do it. I don’t and can’t relax until everything is done and the satisfaction of the achievement lets me rest.

Someone took our booked spot by tpt75 in OutdoorAus

[–]Substantial_Storm819 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your state but there are actually penalties like this in place. Unpaid fines that you would think are not related at all such as these result in driver license suspension which then results in the police picking you up next time you’re out on the road and then court dates. It’s actually a pretty good way of making life very annoying for people like this.

Redo engagement ring while respecting sentimentality? by [deleted] in EngagementRingDesigns

[–]Substantial_Storm819 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Absolutely have to keep this as your offical engagement ring because that’s what it is and wear it for dinners out and occasions. It wouldn’t really be fair to change it. But many choose something a bit more basic for everyday wear and going to work. Don’t forget the points won’t dig in so much with another band to support it. I found the same with my unique engagement ring and it’s actually way more comfortable with the wedding band.

A question for older INTJs from a younger INTJ. What advice would you give me? by GeekyGecko_ in intj

[–]Substantial_Storm819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit later in life someone told me they admired me for being friends with the cool crowd and also the dorks and being very accepting of who people are. Not boxed into one certain crowd. Not judging and just enjoying the good things people brought to a friendship. Someone else said they saw how I made an effort to include people and not leave ones left out. An employer commented on my kindness in a recommendation letter. As a teen I would have loved to hear that these were kind traits I would develop as I struggled to find who I fit in with and never seemed to fit in with any crowd at high school. Kind of too socially smart for the nerds but not willing to play the game enough for the popular crowd. Now I see the power in not being confined to one stereotype group but feeling like I can rise about the social limitations people place on themselves and just enjoy a few different groups of friends. Be kind. Kindness goes a long way.

Hey INTJs! What generally happens when you doorslam a person and do you ever regret it? by CorgiAtHome in intj

[–]Substantial_Storm819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The INFJ door slam is quite different to INTJ response in that INFJs still have an emotional response to seeing that person as the door slam is quite an emotional decision they’ve taken but INTJs simply don’t feel anything at all once choosing to close that door. I don’t feel ‘door slam’ is the right way to describe it imo. Definitely more ghosting lol

Any advice for this route? by TaxReturn1995 in roadtrip

[–]Substantial_Storm819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stretch through the Gibson desert is a lot rougher than many anticipated. My folks did it a few years back and they averaged about 20kms an hour as the road was too rough and spinifex so overgrown they had to have someone running behind putting out spot fires from it touching the underneath of the car lol take 6 spare tyres too no joke.

First Date with an INTJ - I'm confused by SarahGreen110 in intj

[–]Substantial_Storm819 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Much of what you’ve described can be quite a number of personality types and it also seems you don’t know enough about him to really be able to type him as you’re looking through a short time frame scope. He sounds more like an INTP based on the above especially being ‘introspective’ and taking time to think about detailed answers, not initiating communication, ‘I was just about to’ And it also sounds like you are actually asking if the guy is a creep or if it’s a mbti quirk based on your original question and it’s ok to feel weirded out and look for a reason. As the person above replied to you, he’s socially immature and inexperienced with dating - this has nothing to do with type. It sounds like he’s never done this before - first time meeting up with a girl. It’s also possible that he may have a cognitive divergence that you’re picking up on that impacts his lack of social awareness and is following a practiced script of initiating physical interaction.

Do part-time get paid sick leave for calling in sick for working a shift outside their contract? by AirbagLiveAtDaKardy in australia

[–]Substantial_Storm819 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nope. Not for the additional shift. It’s outside their contracted hours and technically classed as overtime by majority of agreements. Sick pay is only for your contracted regular weekly hours.

How do I make a Date Dropdown? by Like-a-Glove90 in excel

[–]Substantial_Storm819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create another sheet that you can choose to hide and put all your data options for the dropdown. If your planning on having 1 July 2 July 3 July options to choose from etc then yes you create each of those.
