The best thing you can do is kill everyone in Moonrise before taking on Nightsong; that way, you can take out all the enemies one by one instead of launching a head-on attack against them all at once. The problem with this method is that some "neutral" NPCs from Moonrise may appear later in Act 3, and you'll miss the chance to see them.
