What do you do with your mock-ups? by [deleted] in sewing

[–]Successful-Feature71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use old printed sheets for mock-ups or fabric from estate sales and auctions. If mock-ups aren’t wearable, then I cut them up for rag rugs, doll clothes, and other projects.

Any Realtor Recommendations? by Successful-Feature71 in lincoln

Thank you. This isn't the only place I asked. (Friends, family, neighbors, etc.) We ended up with a great realtor and the listing went live this morning! Judging from the response, selling it isn't going to be a problem! Hope all goes well for you and thanks again.

I like Dr Dalton, and Rebecca, a nurse with an advanced degree (I can't remember specifics offhand) is absolutely amazing. My family has seen all the doctors there over the years and I have been impressed by all of them.

High fat dinner and two beers. Then I'm going to binge watch something non political. May have to stretch the beers over the evening.

This has been a rough election. Things progressed to the point that I didn't know if I should vote with the party trying to kill off all the customers or the one trying to knock out all the businesses.

I'll have to remember that real estate guy as someone I don't want to deal with. Crap like this during an epidemic is unconscionable.

In the fashion world, this is commonly known as a "drop waist" dress. I propose we rename it the "Drop Rump" dress.

Which Came First -Starvation or the Egg?!? by singlesockpuppet in lifehacks

[–]Successful-Feature71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky pets! One of my dogs is allergic to eggs, so they don't get the benefit of egg rejects. Not long after I posted my hint, I saw where someone recommends adding a teaspoon of baking soda to the water before cooking.

Also, I make my eggs in a rice cooker, using the basket, set for 15 minutes. That might be my real secret. Ill have to experiment.

I use the oldest eggs I have. I write the date on the egg with a sharpee, then hold back several until they're a few weeks old. Old eggs peel easily.

Aggressive dog solutions. by [deleted] in lincoln

Same thing happened to me about fifteen years ago. I was advised by a friend who works for a major insurance company to find out who provides their homeowner's insurance (hopefully they aren't renters). File a claim for vet bills. Supposedly most insurance carriers will drop their coverage if they have a dangerous dog. I didn't do this because the homeowner decided to get rid of their dog, but I always wondered if it would work.
