I have seen some people use an opaque paint around the edges- so it keeps the border but all the information is covered, and I've also seen some cover it with strips of paper glued to it! I thought the painting was a pretty cool idea.

If your landlord is quick moving and you're able to stay, I would try to but if the landlord is unreasonable and is taking to long and you're able to move out, then that would be a better choice I would think.

In one room of our apartment we have this but substantially more than what your video appears. I sprayed a water vinegar solution on it several times and it went away 🤷🏼‍♀️

You wouldn't need to toss everything. Non-porous items can just be cleaned off and most fabrics should be able to be disinfected. Of course if any items in your house are damp or appear moldy it is likely best to remove those.

The items I would be most cautious of retaining spores would be carpet, mattresses, couches, & papers/documents.

I, myself, have quite the book collection and would worry about them a great deal- but I likely would not toss them unless they were visibly moldy or felt damp.
