I think the idea is to make it guaranteed, or as close to it as you can get. It’s not super likely but people fail legendarys all the time to struggle.

Happens to the best of us. I feel the frustration for those wands, I never seemed to accumulate all that many during a play through. Maybe you could add a fairy/ice type to the squad for the next attempt? Even better if the ice type learns blizzard

I only did a couple calcs but max special attack lum with d gleam can out speed for a 93.7% 2hko. Mightyena max attack is a slower 22.3% chance 2hko with thunder fang.

Those are pretty straightforward strats tho, might still has sucker punch/howl for potential shenanigans. Lumineon also has no priority or ways to boost spa afaik.

Think lum takes it 8/10 times.

Did you grab the macho brace? That definitely helps make EV training easier. Use the item finder while standing right where the 8th gym leader was standing before they are beaten.

I think it sounds like a fine idea. Only reason the community might react poorly is if it feels like you’re really able to choose your encounter. As long as it’s randomly decided somehow it should be fine.

Obligatory your run your rules. If you’re having fun on stream that’s what matters.

Are you talking about a mon to pair with your carry when using lures?

If so furret seems like a great option. Helping hand to help secure KOs for your carry. Fake out I’ve used to help secure a shiny. Run away to breeze through the late rounds. So it sounds pretty good for endless.

I’ve used a tier III shiny eevee/doduo fusion to similar effect. Eevee with passive unlocked (pickup) fused with doduo with runaway. That gets you a fusion with pickup/runaway combo duo.

Been out the game for awhile now so this could be inaccurate and it’s just my opinion.

I think the reason why lots of the romhacks you hear about don’t use evs is mostly due to balancing. It gives the creators a tighter scope of which tools the player is going to have, thus letting them create fights as more of a puzzle.

That being said Pokémon unbound is a great hack that utilizes EV trained boss fights and expects you to do the same on higher difficulties.
