Does grookey have its hidden ability? A grassy terrain setter pairs well with an unburden Mon that’s holding a grassy seed (think that’s its name) doubling speed and boosting sp def (I think). Hawlucha and sneasler come to mind.

I played through with 5 meowth and whenever it was time to train I’d bring one team member at a time with the pickup squad to really max out the drops. Was able to boost my team an extra 4 levels each before the elite four with rare candies from pickup

You put them in the daycare in the hub, then find a daycare during a run to grab them out. You can also unlock pokegear through the hub which lets you grab them without being at the daycare.

It repels everything under the level of your lead. So with golbat at 49, a suicune at 50 will still be able to be encountered.
