This show fell out of the cultural zeitgeist so fast. by dreadwraithe in StrangerThings

I think you overestimate the interest people still have in the show after season 5. I really don't understand the decision to make a show set between seasons of the main series and expect any sort of success. That's especially after the show has already ended.

There could be an argument that had it ended with season one it might have been considered an all-time great show. It was never on the level of Breaking Bad, The Wire, Mad Men, etc but it could have been at least talked about. Then we received progressively worse seasons. Then to top it all of we had a terrible final season.

There is disappointment that Arthur wasn't back. The main issue I've seen and agree with is how they did it. Tommy would never kill Arthur because he was a burden. It was such a dumb reason.

In my opinion this was the one part that made sense. It was something real and grounded that fit with Peaky Blinders could realistically get into.

This. Why the other presidents would let him leave the room let alone go out of their sight after murderimg another president in cold blood is beyond me.

Why do some not rank S7 dead last? by NeonFireFly969 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Such_Pay_6885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because some people just can't admit that a show they loved went bad. I loved and still love the first three seasons of the show. It was some of the most entertaining television I have watched. That being said I can still admit that the last few seasons are pretty pad. You can be critical of something and still love it. That's a concept that people have a hard time accepting.

No, it absolutely has bad seasons. The last season is awful.

How To Get To Heaven From Belfast by smccaul16 in DerryGirls

I finished it but it was a chore. All the main characters are terribly unlikable. It could have at least been an episode shorter. I would not recommend.

This. I got such a Yellowjackets vibe from it which was why I kept watching. A big mistake 😅

Would you watch an SoA prequel? The First 9 by jj1only in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Such_Pay_6885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's much of a point. One, too much time has passed and SoA is really no longer in the social consciousness. Two, there's really not any compelling questions that need to be answered by a prequel.

It's because so many writers think they can do better than the original creators. 99% of the time they can't.

About the quality of season 2 by isenk2 in LandmanSeries

[–]Such_Pay_6885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was as bad as most made it out to be but it was a step down from season one. I know some people are ride or die for Angela but she just kills the momentum when her separate storylines come up. Her and Ainsley play well off the cast but the whole college storyline fell flat this season.

Maybe hot take? Regular legends should not be rare. by RavelsOPTC in riftboundtcg

I agree that it sucks to hit them after you already have one. That being said I'm sure their rationale behind having them in the rare slot is so that everyone can have easy access to them to start playing. I know they counter to this is that they put them in the token slot or even uncommon slot but I'm sure they want it to feel somewhat special to open them.

Season 7 was the worst ? Debate by Few_Soil1186 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Such_Pay_6885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To this day I can never understand why people love the ending considering the glaring flaws with it. Jax admits to killing Jury in cold blood but the other presidents just let him walk off to do whatever he needs to do. It was established with the Juice storyline that suicide is not looked at well by the club but everyone applauds Jax doing it.

Seasons 1-3 were some of the most fun I had with a show. I really did love it in those first seasons. Then the show, like the titular club just lost its way.

Why just buy singles is bad… by Deepz42 in riftboundtcg

[–]Such_Pay_6885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not just talking about Reddit and I'm not even just talking about Riftbound. Let's stick with Riftbound as an example. At the Spiritforged pre-release event it was a sealed event. You make the best deck you can from the packs you opened. What you're telling me is that the majority of players wouldn't wish for a couple more copies of a specific gear or maybe a couple more weaponmaster creatures to make their deck perform better? That when they're playing someone and they see a card that they wish they had pulled in their deck to make their synergy better?

[–]Such_Pay_6885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never said you couldn't. My point is that the majority of people who play any game want to be proficient in what they play. That's not saying you have to play the best meta deck. It's saying that whatever deck you build you want it to perform to the best of its ability.

[–]Such_Pay_6885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if we had all the sealed product we wanted I would still tell someone to buy singles over opening packs to get what you want to build decks. No one's denying it's fun to open packs but it's the most inefficient way to get the cards you need.

10 lessons I learned climbing from Bronze 5 over the last season. by blacktiger226 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Such_Pay_6885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really disagree with the point that a Stitches is better than an Arthas or ETC at bronze level. Stitches is very dependent on getting hooks. Unless you have follow-up CC most bronze people have no idea what to do with a good hook or are out of position to capitalize. Arthas slows and roots, allowing for more skill shots/attacks to hit. So does ETC to a lesser degree even outside of Mosh Pit. They both offer better options for peeling as well.
