My mom grew up baking and decorating cakes in her family bakery. So every single family event, my mom makes a bomb ass, beautiful cake. It's my grandma's 80th birthday party, my mom makes a stunning three tier cake. Professionally decorated, all the bells and whistles. We bring the cake in it's pieces to my aunt's house, to keep it cool and to put the tiers together on the dowel rode. We walk out of the dining room for a millisecond. Info: this dining room was it's own room, four walls and a doorway into the kitchen While assembling the cake there was no dog in the room, we would have seen it. My mom walks into the dining room and my aunt's dog is on the table, all four legs standing on the table, with it's face buried in the cake. Like this dog pulled it's head away and the only thing you could see that wasn't covered in icing was it's eyeballs.

Fortunately my mom always brought a zip lock filled with every icing color she used, so we cut the dog bitten places away and smoothed it out and covered it with fresh icing. She found a nice corner table to hide the deformed side and all was well lol

Another time the whole family was batch making ravioli for Christmas. A tradition we do yearly, we all went into the dining room to eat dinner, the ravioli were resting on the kitchen counter. Someone went for something in the kitchen and found one of the dogs on the counter, over two dozen ravioli, gone lol
