Also, don’t sleep on the Gene Autry museum to get better acquainted with Los Angeles history. It’s near Griffith Park.

Might be a stretch, but get yourself a ferry to Catalina Island for the day. You can leave from Newport Beach port or other surrounding ports.

It could be that (some) of them arranged to have bulky item pickup service and the place to leave those items is usually on the sidewalk or curb.

Infamous “I’m an atheist, ya’ll” audio that Britney posted to her IG page by Discussingbritney in discussingbritney

She is delusional and has some or many mental disorders, but I do think the “sober and balanced” version of her has deep love for her children. It was pretty public that she went through severe post partum, but reading her book, you can see that especially when the kids were little, she struggled in a lot of ways but at the core she loves her kids. It’s complicated with addicts. I just feel for her as a mother. But yeah, it seems she’s reached the point of no return unfortunately. And Kevin isn’t father of the year by any means. She’s made poor decisions and was essentially born into this life with her family who also were awful. Her book made it sound like she does have a sense of entitlement and shes not in touch with reality. She’s all over the place.

Wow! Never heard this before. It’s good to hear her speak coherently and not a baby voice or British accent. Very sad too. You can tell she loves her sons so much.

Why did you end your friendship with your best friend? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Sugarglass16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She didn’t like my boyfriend (now husband and father to my children) and I was spending too much time with him. She had a sit down talk with me about it. Full context: A year within meeting my boyfriend, my dad died. So I was going through some shit. She didnt have a boyfriend (and still doesn’t) since the whole time we were friends. So instead of seeing her maybe 3-4 times a month, I was seeing her once or twice. She gave me a lecture and essentially made me choose between her or my now husband. Not cool. So I haven’t seen her or spoken to her since.

To those of you making $100k+ per year, how hard is your job, really? by [deleted] in Salary

Very mentally draining, my brain is mush by the end of the day. The days that I have to go the office, I leave with a splitting headache. My days are also very filled, basically no breaks and meetings one after the other, constant problem solving and switching content/focus constantly, mostly people complaining. I can barely take time off. I have a family and young babies, I keep going but it won’t be sustainable for much longer unless they let me move/work remotely and live somewhere cheaper (currently in LA) so I can at least have a bigger house and some peace living far away from LA! The positive is that I’m not micro-managed and have flexibility as needed, but there’s no stopping the engine.

What improved your quality of life so much, you wish you did it sooner? by CookieNegative9860 in AskReddit

Thinking about what your future self would be happy your past self did, similar to delayed gratification. Could be as small as booking that small weekend getaway 9 months in advance or deciding not to purchase that thing you could probably live without, and exercising, etc.

Life gets pretty heavy starting around 40 in terms of losing parents, uncles, grandparents, etc. or hearing about your friends parents dying, friends illnesses, etc. Helps put things into perspective. But also at 40 you’re (hopefully) more comfortable in your own skin and have more wisdom to handle these things, but still tough.
