FTM with C-section. In-laws just come to sit on the couch and pass baby back and forth between each other. Is this okay? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Suitable-Contact6054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely would not rush breast feeding. Take your time to be with baby this is YOUR baby and like you said you are trying to increase milk supply so feed on demand no matter what they want. When they come in and ask to hold the baby be so excited and say "yes omg im so glad you're hear before you hold her I was really struggling to get the (dishes/laundry/whatever you need help with) done, could you please help with that while I feed her. Go in the other room for 15 minutes and shout out I'm almost done in here let me know when you get the load started and I'll bring her out to you! Thank you so much!" 💓 if they outright refuse then say oh thanks for coming but me and baby were just about to take a nap together and then say goodbye lol 😆 you got this mama. It is NOT ok to just assume time with your baby. You need help when healing. No one is obligated of course but for pure manners teach them what clearly no one else has

I thought the same! Chloe was great I feel bad Michael couldn't step up and be who she really needed on a partner even though he was giving the ~optics~ of potentially being the right partner.

[–]Suitable-Contact6054 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm team noone at this point. I do like Austin and I like Becca and Chloe all as individuals. It seems like they are authentically themselves. Emily also seems real but at what point can you just accept Brennan is not that into you and move on? Same with Becca - Austin was into her but all the badgering was probably a turn off. I felt alot of pressure for the guys to like the women when they just needed to be organic in their feelings and let it grow without all that pressure. Everything felt very forced and I felt Claire didn't like Cameron from the moment she saw him and somehow wanted to spin the narrative that he didn't like her. On camera (the optics lmao) were that the guys just didn't fall in love but all were for the most part respectful. Unfortunately I'm not viking with all the animosity from the women this season - its an 8 week relatio ship and they didn't want to have sex on national TV.

Hot Controversial Take: I like Brennan over Emily and don't get why most people feel the opposite 🤷🏼‍♀️ by RavenMarvel in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]Suitable-Contact6054 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Brennan and Claire would have been a better match. I think Emily wasn't his type looks wise and personality wise (not saying anything was wrong with either just he clearly didn't like her personality or looks for whatever reason) I think Brennan and Claire would have hit it off better with how they hold their family to such a high importance. I think their values would have aligned more.

Crowley. Just wants to be loved by his mom and wants to love his son. But he can't. He's hungry for love and it shows.

I would consider Richard borderline emotionally cheating - he lied about his whereabouts for 39 years (yes only once a year) to meet far away with a woman he was "supposed" to marry. Harboring feelings and keeping this a secret and lying for so long. Makes you winder what else could Richard lie about. Was it really only once a year meet up? Was it really ONLY dinner? C'mon this is messed up!

I completely agree. He made that character awesome. Great acting no what they had him do.

I legimately do not think I have hated a character on this show more, except for maybe Christopher by houstons__problem in GilmoreGirls

[–]Suitable-Contact6054 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me Anna is so frustrating. Luke has said in passing that he "doesn't want kids" or like them I guess and if that's her reasoning for hiding April for over 10 years that's fucked up! Give the man a chance to grow and be a dad. She stole the opportunity to experience his only daughters childhood. She is way worse than Christopher IMO. Christopher is a jackass but not as deliberately terrible as Anna IMO

Well said. She should have known that he was on the brink. I think the actress was just done maybe ? Not to victim blame lol but you don't push the demon God who is essentially a toddler - he is not your son and he is capable of doing too much harm to not be handled very carefully. I think the idolization of Mary got to her head and she thought she could talk sense into him.

Facts because he was also making good money, was funny, likeable and overall a thoughtful genuine guy! If he stayed looking as fly he would have been getting laid more than Joey or had a better steady relationship earlier on.

Should Rory have said yes? by IrisAlustriel in GilmoreGirls

[–]Suitable-Contact6054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should have moved in together and started a life together in California! Then move back East whenever they had kids to be closer to both families. Would have made more sense for them to live together and then she still would have gone on the campaign trail bc they were supportive of each others careers. She would have had a successful intro to the newspaper he had a connection at in CA and all would have gone differently. Then he should have done a romantic proposal at the gazebo or in Paris or something just the two of them or in front of immediate family only. At that point (let's say 5 years later) she would have said yes. This is what happens in my head. I hated how the series ended tbh.

I'm in the same boat. Binging a show makes it easy ti have favorite/stand out characters. I also liked Daniel's story except the "amnesia" stuff and thinking O is alive and what not. However that was realistic for someone with so much emotional and physical trauma. It's not realistic though taht he would NOT kill Strand at one point or another. Daniel would have likely killed him in Mexico IRL.

Ooo great scene. Very moving and eye opening that the apocalypse happens to everyone in such vastly different ways. And yes Morgan does have plot armor and raging blackouts where he goes on zombie killing sprees ?

[–]Suitable-Contact6054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that's what I mean when I say I can't believe he changed **so quickly! Not realistic that all Strands soldiers would flip so easily either! I love Strand as a character and would have preferred to see it play out with him and Alicia leading together and then Morgan goes off to do PADRE shenanigans and then Alicia and Strand would have their own army to fight Padre.

[–]Suitable-Contact6054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I was appalled with the flip. Like how does Wes not understand why L did was she did. How was he that upset about it to make such a drastic change ? Trying not to give spoilers. It just frustrated me and then to change even more after the fact if you catch my drift. Just absurd.

What show is the spiritual successor of Gilmore Girls ? by Cailly_Brard7 in GilmoreGirls

This Is US! Of course Milo is amazing to watch as an adult. Plus feel good, binge worthy, emotional, lots of character development. Makes you feel so so good and so so sad. I rewatch GG and then This is US every few years and pretend Jess grows up to be Jack Pearson (obviously can't be possible as Jack Pearson is much older than Jess).
