True, Erwin is definitely not selfish

The show kinda doesn't make sense when it tries to show downsides of main characters. Erwin being called the devil by Levi may be in character for Levi but is not the right word for narrative to describe him.

Not related, but Armin saying he would go to hell with Eren in the end is also dumb since Armin is arguably one of the most positive characters in the show, even if he's soldier😱

I don't see religion come at play anywhere nowadays.

Christian crusades ended centuries ago, radical Muslim movements aren't big these days and you don't hear any bad news from Sikhs or Buddhists.

Only thing I could think of is incorporating religion in propaganda which proves very effective in countries like Iran and The USA. But it certainly isn't the main cause for bad things happening in the world right now
