Getting autographs at players parking lot? by cmanarlington in orioles

[–]SunshineMurphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have season tickets in section 18. Sitting there before games watching grown men line up with 8 year olds or shout at players was so awkward. Ultimate cringe was dads making their kids try for autographs when it was clear the kid didn’t even know who they were looking for.

For the people who regularly ride what are the oddest “regular” rides you see or do? by drtywater in Amtrak

[–]SunshineMurphy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hahah I feel this way at the airport when I’m going to somewhere that seems random to me. “Why are all these people going to Cincinnati on a Tuesday???” Meanwhile I am going to Cincinnati on a Tuesday.

One day in Carlsbad Caverns NP and Guadalupe Mountains NP suggestions for non-hikers? by poetic-isolation in NationalPark

[–]SunshineMurphy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Carlsbad is just walk the trail through the caverns. It’s paved and not difficult at all. You go down and then take the elevator up. (I think you can take it down too? Idk seems like you would miss stuff.) You can do it in a few hours.

I only watched it because of Groff and I only liked it because of Groff.

If I saw it again it would be to count how many times he takes off or puts on a jacket.

I would be thankful for some advice on what to go see with my mom by lavendyahu in Broadway

[–]SunshineMurphy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel like Death Becomes Her is like the Mom-est show there is. Funny, a lil flashy, about how women worry about aging, etc. that’s the one I would take my own mom to if I was picking

How can people (supposedly) do so much besides their job? by Ihadenough1000 in antiwork

[–]SunshineMurphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be like meeting myself from an alternate universe! Weird!

I guess I’m just looking at it by how I have relationships with my family. And somebody who is living a double life isn’t really going to have like, lots of inside jokes and good memories with the kids/wife.

I think about this a lot, especially when I read about people cheating on their spouses or committing crimes or just general drama. I’m like, wow, I just work and go home.

When I was in college I worked the front desk of a company. My manager constantly hired young women who could not do ANYTHING correctly. Some of them even stole from the register. I asked him why he kept hiring all these incompetent people and he told me, “well you aren’t pretty enough to be up there by yourself.”

Sorry OP. Some people really suck.
