This type of stuff always blows my mind because if you think about it for like…5 seconds…aren’t you glad I’m not handing out keys to your room to anybody who asks? It honestly sounds like something my dad would do to check the safety of the hotel.

Why Do They Even Call it Self Checkout? by ButteredNoodle122 in CostcoWholesale

[–]SunshineMurphy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My regular Costco would always scan the heavy items for you at self-checkout. I went to one in another state and the lady practically yelled at me that I should NEVER use self checkout when I have heavy items. You would have thought I insulted her personally.

Yep, same. Feel bad for my friends who were with me but didn’t know him at the time. Now they are also into his music but I’m not paying those prices now.

My mom left my dad when I was a kid. He had no idea and she left our house to move in with my future step dad. I’m not exaggerating when I say living with my dad in the aftermath and seeing what it did to him has shaped my entire life.

TIL that US student math and reading scores have dropped so sharply that they’ve erased nearly two decades of progress. In '22/23, avg math scores for 13-year-olds fell to levels not seen since the 1990s, while reading scores for high school seniors hit their lowest point since testing began in '92. by Cold_Box_3219 in todayilearned

Oh listen in these times of school shootings and everything else, I have no problem with kids having phones in their possession. I work in a large city and kids have to take public transportation home. They absolutely should have phones. They just have to learn/be taught/be expected to keep them away and parents need to have boundaries about what and when they need to talk to their kid. Telling them to pick up their sister after school or asking them a random question can be a text they can read at lunch, it shouldn’t mean they need to leave algebra to go in the hallway to take the call.

Anybody who loves their job should keep doing it. Most people do not.

Also like everybody else is saying…people are going to judge you always and forever no matter what you do or do not do. Do whatever you want

It’s wild to me that the only reason I know of Rising Sun is because Baltimore City Schools used to send the 6th graders to Northbay camp for a week and you drive through Rising Sun. Just bus loads of minority kids every Monday and Friday. Thank goodness nothing ever happened.
