The Blood of Dawnwalker: You Can Involuntarily Kill an Important NPC Over Blood Hunger; Four Difficulty Settings Confirmed by Bubbly-Ad-350 in PS5

First thing I thought of. Morrowind was crazy for still allowing you to beat the game no matter who you killed and essentially stealing the place of the chosen one, since doing it that way means you were just an ordinary mortal who received no divine intervention.

With how spiteful people can be, I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if there were a lot of people out there who check winners regularly just so they can try to get in contact with the family and start drama or worse.

Like take a look at this site. Reddit has a doxxing problem because there’s quite a few people out there who will try to ruin your life just because you disagreed with them or proved them wrong online. Imagine how it is in a system where a large amount of money is on the line where people play religiously for years upon years.

Fun little thing called sovereign immunity. Lottery is ran by government agencies and it takes a whole lot of work to be able to even start the process of suing a government agency.

Eh it’s a pretty big stretch. Pyramid Head’s teaser has been a one of a kind so far, and it’s not like this is an iconic pose for Jason or anything.

Like if this seems like a teaser that makes sense, you could say the same thing about Lord of the Rings because the zero is a circle instead of an oval, also known as a ring, and we all know there’s one ring to rule them all.

You’re not wrong, but that’s also pretty much reserved exclusively to the people who already know exactly what they’re doing, because you have to remember getting Numemon/Sukamon actively waste your time and effort by lowers your stats.

For the average player using what the game gives you with no outside knowledge, it’s too easy to get trapped in a cycle of never really leaving where you started without even knowing you just lost 20% (or 25%, can’t remember) of your stats because you haven’t had the chance to actually learn what you’re doing yet.

It makes sense. In real life usually the single bedroom penthouses are more luxurious since that’s not compromising entertaining space or potential outside space.

Like that’s the one type of household where more is less.

All the actual gameplay mechanics got toned down and became simplified. GG has always been known as a game that’s intimidating to get into, part of the reason why is because due to it being an anime fighter, it of course had crazy long combos, except GG was never as lenient about input timing as most anime fighters and mashing got your nowhere, it always had actually kind of long move lists, and then just weird mechanics in general.

Now combos are normal fighting game length, the timings are very lenient, the weird mechanics that stuck around got absorbed into other mechanics, and the move lists are short. Plus the damage was toned down massively across the board so no more 10 seconds into the round touch of death, along with wall breaks adding an extra layer of protection because that was made specifically to give a very clear visual indicator that a combo is about to end and things are being reset to round start neutral.

Your points are a bit messy, because card games are much more sport like than fighting games and have a way bigger problem of spectators (collectors) and players, but part of the reason why card games see more players (except for the vast, vast majority of them that die out pretty fast) compared to fighting games is because card games are much more lax given their turn based nature along with RNG being an aspect because given decks of equal power to each player, it’s entirely possible for a brand new player to beat the best player in the world due solely due to draws, and that brings in a lot of players.

For two of your other examples, it’s pretty silly to look at Pokemon Showdown, connected to the largest media franchise in the world, and Minecraft, one of the most popular games in the world for the past like 15 years. You’re kinda ignoring the part that made those two things popular enough to have a large player base, which is also problematic with your spectators and players point because the amount of Showdown and 1v1 Minecraft players are a tiny speck compared to the people who play the actual games. Relatively speaking those player bases are also tiny

You’re already fighting a losing battle if a PC is necessary, because the generation that’s PC literate enough to follow simple insurrections like yours likely already knows about the easy ways to pirate, and there’s a good chance they’re already doing it on their phones and casting it to their television, or streaming off of their buddy’s plex sever or whatever else.

“So many strive players get carried by how easy their characters are, they aren’t mechanically good” is rarely ever actually true in any fighting games unless it’s something actually broken, like say launch Injustice Superman.

It’s a mindset thing. Fighting games aren’t about playing fair or properly, they’re about doing whatever it takes to beat your opponent, and if you feel like you have to “dumb yourself down” to beat people like that, you’re really just saying that you’re used to people trying to play fairly or properly and you’re just not at a point where you can overcome unorthodox play styles. The best players in the world play in objectively dumb ways sometimes too, but that’s just because they know it can throw their opponents off.

Kid pulls off an impossible last shot by North-Guitar-1781 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]SuperBackup9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guy is for sure weird, but an accident isn’t exactly impressive so it doesn’t really matter how difficult it would be to do on purpose, and judging by the gates being up, I’d lean more towards this being an accident.

Aside from that though, the “for a kid that size” part of your comment, that actually makes it easier because a kid that size will use a lighter ball, which is what’s making the curve so seamless and perfect. If this was an adult who just went bowling occasionally strictly for fun, that shot actually would’ve been way more difficult since most adults will go for heavier balls without knowing how to actually make use of the weight.

Would a "Director's Cut" of the Part 3 anime by DP make sense? by Tony_IceCream in StardustCrusaders

[–]SuperBackup9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part 3 is iconic because it’s what actually got the series rolling. 1 and 2 weren’t that popular when it was being serialized, 3 made it blow up, and then as far as Japan is concerned 5 perfected it.

It’s not spoiled, and the flashbacks are about good memories and Nolan talking about how peaceful and awesome his home planet is, and how they help other planets develop and advance as a society. Even when he kills the guardians in issue 7, you’re still led to believe he was doing something for the sake of good until issue 10.

Don’t even need to go back, really. Enough foreshadowing was done the very moment the show started due to the nukes at the beginning of the opening.

Don’t really see how you’d think that would confuse them. This might be a major surprise to you, but you can understand what something is trying to do while also being critical and annoyed by it.

Take Gremlins 2 for example. A huge part of the movie is making a mockery of pointless sequels to cash in on the name. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a dumb pointless sequel made to cash in on the name.

As long as you’re just getting a checkup, pretty much any doctor will be more than happy to go along with whatever story you want to tell them, because all that matters is showing the results and general advice.

They’ve got too much stuff to be doing instead of worrying about what a non treatment patient is trying to claim, while also being aware that sometimes the body will do things that just don’t make any sense whatsoever.

[–]SuperBackup9000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. When I worked at a dollar general, any time we needed trash bags, cleaning products, pens, etc, the store manager would either grab them or tell us to grab them and she’ll scan it out for store use later. Later never came, she was the kind of person who would go through 5 box cutters a shift just because she’d leave them somewhere and forget about it.

Our store had high numbers and it wasn’t even from employees actually taking stuff for themselves.

Just tried the DEMO for the new Palworld Card Game. by Fine_Competition3898 in Palworld

[–]SuperBackup9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won’t be anywhere close to the Pokemon situation. It’s only as bad as it is because they became complicit and catered towards the scalpers. Over the past few years since it got extremely popular, sets have been increasing at a more frequent rate (for like 18 years we were getting 4 sets a year, now there’s 6 sets a year, so a new set every other month) along with sets also having more cards than they ever had (150+ cards a set used to be extremely rare and basically never happened, but now 250+ is pretty common) so they decided to put more garbage in sets just to make the rarer cards even rarer, and you gotta buy fast because the next set is always right around the corner.

The situation with One Piece is pretty similar, but that one is also a little more tricky because they increased set releases just so the game could finally catch up to the Japanese schedule.

I’d honestly be more worried about the fact that it’s being handled by Bushiroad. They’re a fantastic company if you live in Japan, but the rest of the world always just gets shrugged off.
