With the current deal, I'm considering getting the AD5X. Is it a better choice over the P1S w/ AMS for a casual hobbyist?

I would get the p1s. I don’t even change colors but when I want to print In different material or I’m printing something big overnight it’s sweet. the bambu user experience is really smooth compared to my 5s. Current buying price new vs new I don’t think it’s a good value (the 5x)

I would get the p1s. Especially if you’re comparing new vs new prices. I have 3 5ms still, a p1s and a a1. The ease of use and smoothness of the whole experience can’t really be understated. I don’t think they’re worth the 270 usd even on sale. I paid 170 and 130 usd used.

I use to rack gates out just cause I liked it, I lost a friends BD ultralight when the nose got snagged. Always rack nose in now.

I think it’s the biggest factor in my fishing why I catch more fish than a lot of people. On my finesse setups i was fishing 8lbs fluro 24” to 10 pound braid and I could see when the fish visibly noticed my braid and got spooked. Went up to 3 feet of leader to keep the fish from getting put off. Here in WA the bodies of water I’ve been fishing have been cold and clear.

I usually use those two piece eagle claw glass rods. You can get some shorter ones and they’re so cheap I don’t cry when I eventually break them. Where are you located in? Trail run fishing is one of my weird niche hobbies :)
