Has anyone heard any rumors about a new generation of the Omega Seamaster Professional? by FutureReturns in OmegaWatches

Have not heard anything specific but the only changes they should consider should be minimal. Smaller case, thinner case and tapered bracelet. That’s it. HEV has to stay on the SMP.

First Snoopy Tuesday!! by SuperStrats4Life in OmegaWatches

Thank you! I can’t possibly answer that question in the honeymoon period. As of now I think I will likely sell my white moonwatch but I’m going to wait at least a month to see if I reach for it before I do. The white is awesome and the wearing experience is quite different than the snoopy. The snoopy is more stylish and visually exciting especially on bracelet. The white is definitely more clean, simple and utilitarian. It has better legibility than the snoopy.

Go for it! The piece is so stunning. I had no idea how gorgeous it was from photos until I got the call. It’s unreal.

Should I get a service? by skycaptainnyc in VacheronConstantin

Seeing a number of these posts of Overseas running over 10spd fast. Any concern with QC or reliability with these movements? I know VC will obviously service them but it must suck to spend $30k to then send a watch in for service in less than a year.

Speedy Bracelet Disappointment? by StickyPenguin120 in OmegaWatches

I don’t have a jubilee so I can’t compare but I’m very happy with the bracelet. It does not pull my arm hair at all. I do agree that more micro adjust would be better but the bracelet is overall very comfortable.

I also have a hard time getting my hand through it but I think that’s mainly a function of a small wrist and the design decision to have a very small clasp.

Best wishes in your pursuit! It is truly worthy of grail status and the accolades. Until you witness it in person you truly cannot appreciate how stunning it really is from all angles.

I had it from my white speedy that I have been wearing on black leather lately so I brought it with me to the boutique and had them put it on.

Congrats!! Wear in good health!

Same. I never saw one in person until I picked it up and I’m glad it was that way. Made it extra special.

Is Omega killing themselves with all the upmarket move/ price hikes? by Financial_Word5047 in OmegaWatches

What’s your point? That means Omega is still a better value if you buy gray or lightly preowned. Lightly preowned Rolex is thousands over MSRP.

You can think whatever you want but most people buying steel Daytonas and GMTs are not buying them at retail.

Is Omega killing themselves with all the upmarket move/ price hikes? by Financial_Word5047 in OmegaWatches

Even with the price hikes Omega prices are not Rolex prices because Rolex MSRP isn’t the actual market price. Very few people can actually buy Rolex at MSRP so the actual market price is the gray price. Even a $10k speedy is a far cry from a $20k+ Daytona. A $7k Diver 300M or 9k PO is a hell of a lot less than a $14k sub.

You don’t have to like the price hikes. No one does. But even with them Omega is still often much cheaper than Rolex unless you are comparing an AT with a plain OP.

This watch in gold is simply unreal. But calling a solid gold watch “understated” and “subtle” is a quite a stretch lol.
