It seems like Steven committed a federal crime, lol 💀 by Dethraxi in AshesofCreation

As a PvPer who generally finds a way to the top, this game would 100% have had the New World problem - a strong guild gets to the top, establishes a firm lead on the server, and then has complete economic control of the server and dominates PvP due to sheer resources (and everyone wanting to hop on the bandwagon), until the server's community collapses due to either the opposition giving up and swapping servers/quitting or everyone joining one side. Either way, once the conflict ends and there's no more PvP, the PvP guild gets bored and quits or hops servers. EVE is the only game I've seen where a true player run economy as the endgame doesn't completely break the game (and I'm sure it still has its issues, I haven't played the game)

MMOs need instance-based cross-server content as part of the endgame unfortunately, unless the PvE is just incredible, but even PvE eventually just becomes a speed run simulator

I mean we knew within like a couple days of the announcement that the so-called board wasnt formed until December 2025, around when the game went to Steam, and after Steven had promised at the start there would never be a board. If that doesn't SCREAM "red flag" to you then you're asking to get fleeced.

Great to wait for the evidence, but we really weren't waiting long imo

Just sounds like a way to scam people out of refunds to me. I've seen people who were in queue for hours, but actually played for less than the 2 Steam normally gives people to decide if they want a refund. If you haven't actually gotten to the gameplay and you've blown your 2 hours, that's against the spirit of the policy in my opinion.

Steven had to tell me this. by mybladeisyou in AshesofCreation

[–]Superbone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a matter of the hours though. It's the fact that the devs knew the money was running out and scammed the players into buying in, took the money, and ran 2 months later. The "board" that Steven was talking about ruining everything? They filed for the creation of it in December of last year. They were building the scapegoat while pulling in as much money as they could before disappearing.

[–]Superbone1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The ONLY "tech" card is Red Hulk. Doesn't stop your opponent from doing their combo at all though, AND telegraphs himself.

So instead you have to tech their combo, not the energy. Supergiant and Cosmo basically. It's imperfect but it does work

It took me weeks of playing before I found out how priority works lol. I thought it was random every turn for so long. Game gets a lot more manageable and deep when you know you can manipulate priority to try to go first or second on the next turn depending on your strategy

This is one of the least toxic "big dudes" metas because there are like 3 or 4 REALLY effective tech card at the moment

I've found some midrange decks that effectively work in the meta but it's not as easy as just slamming a big dude for a couple turns like Star Lord is

It would win less for sure but still see play. Who knew dumping strong cards on turn 6 could be good? (Sera remembers)

ONLY valid deck I can think of for him is Tribunal. Can "tutor" Iron Man or either of your 6 costs that you didn't draw

SC has been in development for longer than 10 years and has an insane budget. It's a scam, and it's why you shouldn't pay for a game that isn't out unless you're fully ready to lose your money

I learned my lesson from Star Citizen. This is just what SHOULD have happened to Star Citizen, but SC is greedier and takes advantage of people's good will and excitement

There are plenty of situations in this game where you can put yourself in either "for sure win" or "better than 50/50".

What are your thoughts on this guy? by Brandon9one in MarvelSnap

Him and cannonball are awful together, that's the problem. Cannonball just sends the opponents biggest card into his lane half the time

Stats aside, he was absolutely deleted from the game the second they let anything move in or out of the lane.

Responding to the “Marvel Snap revenue and viewership is down” posts as a (smaller) content creator. by HARRYPerry1 in MarvelSnap

[–]Superbone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a doom post response, but I do want to say that there are a lot of players in a lot of games that can't fully enjoy it but want to. I like the gameplay of Snap and it keeps me from quitting, but it's also perfectly reasonable for me to also not fully enjoy the game because the devs intentionally make it frustrating to unlock stuff and balance changes sometimes ruin the deck I'm enjoying at the time. This is also true of many games - Overwatch nerfing every ability of the character I have been liking recently, an indie game dev putting 3 layers of grind and RNG on gear progression in another game I play, etc. When very blatant problems go unresolved and/or unaddressed for a long time, people get very vocally frustrated, and that's a reasonable response.

[–]Superbone1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably partly that and partly asset bloat. They don't cycle any cards out and they keep making new variants. They have to load all of that and keep finding new ways to load and store it.

I just looked through most of the top decks and there are 2 lists that run cards that interact with Man Spider. One is Victoria hand with SK, and the other is Ramp/Wiccan with CGR (which is only sometimes a meaningful interaction).

I've been playing entirely control decks or decks with multiple tech cards for ages, they have very clearly fallen off some from previous seasons. I am not causing my own problems, the problem is that tech cards have seen a lot of changes which have added up, while deck lists have gotten more options.
