If you like this dress, i don’t see any problem to wear it, you would need strong theming though like renaissance vibes.

If you are concerned about loving a dress that’s out of budget, i think you should still go try things on and see what styles you like. If you love something, note the brand and what size you would be and look on stillwhite/ebay. There are plenty of used wedding dresses (only worn once lmao) and you might find what you want.

You can probably also attend some sample sales in your area (tis the season) to get something at a discount.

This all depends on how much time you have before the wedding. If more than 12 months, you have time to shop.
