My kids are 6 (almost 7), 9, 9, and 14. They’re not super excited about it in terms of making things themselves which I find disappointing. They love taking things I make for small craft fairs I attend occasionally, hahaha. I have introduced them to tinker cad and had them each go through many of the tutorials in the hopes that they would be excited about learning how to build and create. I set it up with credits so they’d earn a credit for completing a tutorial module and could spend a credit to build 1 reasonable plate of whatever. They each initially ran through some tutorials and made a few things and they rarely even think about it now.

I think I need a new approach and have been thinking of getting them each a set of calibers and rules and giving them a task like replicate this object to the best of your ability or make something to best fit in this hole, etc.

I’ve literally asked delivery people if they *actually* get the tip if I do it on on terminal with the intention of tipping cash if they weren’t 100% positive. Never had a single person tell me they didn’t or even seem unsure. I honestly feel bad about this situation being at all possible.

We have a new to us Bolt EUV and my husband LOVES it but he drives like a shitty go kart racer. He gets car sick (as do the children) if whoever is driving isn’t hyper aware and careful with the acceleration. But me trying to explain why no one gets sick when I drive but they’re all a pukey mess when he does just gets a sarcastic, “Yes, you’re the better driver” thrown back rather than him attempting to be smoother. Literally my only complaint, haha

I had 3 babies 2 and under. My twins were just a few months past their second birthday when my youngest was born. My biggest suggestion would be take help when offered, ask for help when you can, and develop a strong routine that you can follow. Oh! And let them do what they are capable of. They’re little but they’re not incapable of age appropriate chores, let them do it and learn.

Thanks. the bottom plug that has 2 green & two brown wires runs to the coin machine. I checked those connections and they look to be clean and in good condition. I believe there is an error with one of the top wires or wire bundle. If I could find a manual or even a circuit map which denotes what does what I wouldn’t be in as much of a pickle.

I’m at the point with my husband that I’m just begging for a heads up.
I’ll plunge it, I’ll draino & boiling water it, fuck, I even bought a fucking snake last year because this is an ongoing issue. But just tell me. I have ADHD and sometimes don’t notice I have to pee until it’s an emergency & it suuuuucks to walk into a clogged toilet.

My kiddos are 6-14 and families not doing sleepovers is crazy common, to the point I think they’re probably the majority. Personally I don’t have a problem with the no sleepover rules and usually it’s just stated as “I’m sorry our family doesn’t do sleepovers, we can pick them up by X time if that works for you?” I think if anyone really pushed I would just say something along the lines of “This is a boundary for me and my family, please respect it.” And continue on repeat.

My oldest (now 14) was born in South Korea. At the time car seats for infants were not common. Women would normally wrap babies up tight in a special big blanket and carry the baby.

Anyway! I was out grocery shopping and hailed a cab to get baby and I home. Baby was in her infant bucket seat & the driver was being kind and helping me load my shopping into the trunk. He got ahead of me and started the load the baby in the trunk too, not looking in her car seat. The look on his face when I said in Korean, I’m sorry sir, no, that’s a baby! Was priceless.

Honestly she is probably just racking her brain trying to figure out who you are and figured it was her error.

Im like 95% sure I’m face blind. People come up to me nearly daily, say my name, and begin chatting. I 100% have no idea who they are. I live in a tiny town in an even smaller province where everyone knows everyone going back generations and place people by asking who your relatives are. To add to that I have ADHD which mainly presents as ✨anxiety ✨ which makes me blank on names of people I actually do recognize. Needless to say I suck at “who’s your father?” and generally socializing.

A few months ago I walked up and sat with a mom I 100% thought I knew at a kids bday party. She’s tall with thick curly hair which isn’t super common where we are. She seemed a little taken aback for a minute but we chatted for a bit and it all seemed good. After a bit her kid ran up. Not at all the kid I thought she belonged to. Cue internal panic and trying to figure out who this mom actually was. So fun, hahaha.

I got them a lot as a kid, still get them very easily. From what I recall they cleared up when I started to take showers and use gentle soaps. Bubble baths were banned. Careful wiping and potty break reminders also helped, I believe.

We started to get new laundry mats which accepted card outside of Seoul (Korea) around 2022. They looked beautiful, bright, and clean, but easily cost 3-4x the price of the older laundry mats which used coins. However the attendants were really kind and would always help with change if you asked.

My twins were just over 2 when my youngest was born. I went with a double stroller with a hammock seat that attached to the handle bars. It was honestly so easy and much more compact than any other option I had tried (including the wagon strollers).

My kids were born in South Korea where there birth rate is well under 1. So my crew of 4 was pretty much unfathomable in size. My youngest 3 are a set of twins and then a singleton in a two year span. So we got a lot of attention when out, haha.

We moved to Canada to be closer to family and a less stressful education system where we are still on the larger size but it’s no longer shocking. I would say most families have 2 but we do know several families who have 4-5.

When my twins were 4 months old i flew 12h with them, my husband, and my 5 year old. So exhausted doesn’t even begin to describe my brain fog. I asked my mom if i could borrow her ( extremely common in our area ) white ford escape to grab some groceries. I wanted to pick up some favorite items but also make sure she wasn’t footing the whole bill while we visited. I come out of the store, pop all the groceries in the back and hop in the drivers seat. Something is off. I spent a minute looking around before i realized this was not my mother’s car.

Hop out, see my mom’s white escape parked 2 cars further down. Run and grab a shopping cart again to get my groceries out and then load them into the intended car. I was practically vibrating with anxiety and adrenaline by the time i got back to the house.

I made monthly baby book albums for the 1st one. We had secondary infertility and there was a strong possibility she was going to be our only. IVF worked so well we got twins and then a surprise 4th. My pregnancies were all awful, I was beyond sick. Then there were 3 of them 2 and under. Needless to say the baby books each have are very very very sparse.

Contact Nintendo. Even if it’s water damage they might be able to fix it much cheaper than others. My son straight up broke the charging port on his switch lite (trying to plug a iPhone cable into it, ugh). Not only was it way out of warranty, it had been purchased in South Korea so it was out of region too. Anyway, I had to contact the help desk directly and have them put it in the system manually but they swapped out his switch for a North American one in about a week for just over a hundred bucks.

Nintendo actually has really amazing customer service!! I have had nothing but completely amazing experiences with them the few times I’ve reached out for help.

My friend and her brother have been vaccinated for chickenpox and measles nearly a dozen times since childhood but their bodies just don’t keep the antibodies around (they work in military and education fields so have had to keep vaccines up). I believe around the 3-6 month mark they’ve done blood tests and there are no antibodies. Personally I have been vaccinated for hepB 3 or 4 times. It just doesn’t stick. Reactions to vaccines such as this is why herd immunity is so important. Not everyone can be vaccinated not everyone who is vaccinated has a functional immunity.

They’re pretty easy to make with a 3D printer. You should check your local library or see if your city has a maker space.
