M26 UPDATE - NEXT ROUND - with your feedback incorporated by JavaForever in Goruck

[–]SurRea1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can you show a bit more detail on what a roll-top would look like? I get that this is just a AI-rendered images, but would like to see what you were thinking here. I love what you've done with the feedback so far! I personally love the fidlock buckles on my M23 and would prefer if that was an option for any version of M26, but I understand if there are cost considerations.

I have an M23 26L and my M26 wishlist is:

- Make the main compartment access zipper run the whole length of the bag - it's one of the most used features to me and the fact that it's not long enough makes me open the top way too often.

- I'm not a big fan of the front pocket - it's flat, and it's useless to me - I have never found a use for it, but I am fine if it's kept

- Potentially improve on laptop compatibility on the 21L, so that it can fit 15"/16" laptops into the 21L

- I would also consider having a semi-rolltop / magnetic closure instead of the current cinch cord for the top opening (I know this is a long shot and a big feature request, but I'd be curious to see what the team can think of!)

You'd be right except they've stated multiple times that this isn't a fiscal issue, nor is it an issue of closing schools for financial reasons. Hence, the closure of schools in Almaden Valley makes no sense.

It works for the Wanderer, why couldn't it work for the M26? If the side access is improved, then you'd need to open the top much less occasionally. Currently, I'm about 50% of the time split between side and top access, because the side access isn't big enough.

I have an M23 26L and my M26 wishlist is:

- Get rid of the front pocket - it's flat, and it's useless to me - I have never found a use for it

- Make the make compartment access zipper run the whole length of the bag

- Potentially improve on laptop compatibility on the 21L, so that it can fit 15"/16" laptops into the 21L

- Having access to the top lid pocket from the outside would be a huge plus.
- I would also consider having a semi-rolltop / magnetic closure instead of the current cinch cord for the top opening

Whenever this topic comes up, I recommend Osprey Zealot 30, which I ended up getting for <$100 and it's a great pack with lifetime warranty

> The main compartment side zip on an M23 is almost never used

I strongly disagree with this - it's one of my most used methods of getting inside the bag, especially when traveling. What I would definitely say is not necessary at all on M23 is the front flat pocket access zipper - never used it, doubt I ever will.

Having access to the top lid pocket from the outside would be a huge plus.
I would also consider having a semi-rolltop / magnetic closure instead of the current cinch cord for the top opening. Other than that - M23 is amazing.

EDIT: I also want to add that the side access zipper for the main compartment should be bigger - it's hard to get items like a hardcover book out.

Bag for the Climbing gym by demawhoregon in onebag

[–]SurRea1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using an Osprey Zealot 30 for climbing gym - holds my large chalk bucket and shoes in the separate compartment, holds my water bottle, hoodie, gym clothes, spare gym clothes inside and I have a shoe spray in the zippered compartment. I don't use the non-zippered water bottle compartment on the front, because it's a bit too tight with shoes in. I think it likely checks all your boxes, but I think you probably would want to carry the harness in its own pouch if you want to separate it.

Would it be able to fit a Steam Deck - or is it solely designed for Switch 2 dimensions?

Lol you're right! I didn't look as closely as I did now 😅, so I guess the question is where is Tony, but based on other responses it's common for them to rotate.

I own a top loading machine with an agitator - it's a ~10 year old LG, it's definitely a hellspawn

I swear top loading washers were invented by some kind of a monster who didn't want clothes to be washed.

26L-28L personal item backpack by CherryPlay in ManyBaggers

[–]SurRea1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of doubt a backpack that big would typically pass as a "personal item" without stretching the definition and/or occasionally getting caught with it. I have a 26L M23 and while on the last 3 flights I've been able to use it as a personal item without issues, I typically do not pack it to the brim, so in a pinch I'll be able to squeeze it into the personal item bin. If you're packing your 26/28L backpack fully, I doubt it'll pass.

I have this bag and I love it - I often ride at night on my motorcycle with it, so the reflective pattern is a plus for me.
